Each harmony, will need to be set for the particular model of tv, Most of the tv buttons, will be the same, guide menu channel up etc on all devices.

each Pi, will need to be added, to the " tv" remote it will be used with. If when you are using a Pi, you can set it, so that it can control the tv volume

I don't have a Pi, but it looks like the Raspberry Pi is in the Harmony database Device Compatibility

But it says you do need an adapter, what controls ie play stop ff etc it has I don't know.

by googling, I found a couple of IR's with remote for the Pi, with one of these, you could use the learning function.

I don't know what is faster, but if it sorts out your problem when other usb are plugged in, then even if it is not as fast, it would be better.

try it, I use clonezilla, but you need to make sure the target, is at least the same or larger, than the source.

I didn't notice a difference between microsd, & installing to nand, so I doubt it will be noticeable,

Yes, I did have this. I think, you need to create a user, with the same username & password configured in the server. But, to be honest, I'm not sure.

Not easily, as far as I know, you will need the original firmware & might need to use the usb burning tool.

Personally, I didn't think running from internal is much different form running from sd.

Basically, copy the device tree (no need to rename) & tar file to update folder & reboot

Or, write img.gz to usb, when finished add device tree & rename to dtb.img

So, you have created the image, then replaced the dtb file with the correct device tree for your box?

If so, while holding the reset button in, (if you don't know where it is, try google) plug in the power cable, the box should reboot to libreelec,

if you installing to a usb or microsd, android is safe, nothing happens to it, so if it fails to boot, try a different device tree

searching the forum first would be a start

Manual Update / Migration from OpenELEC (.tar)

LibreELEC update files are compatible with OpenELEC. To migrate transfer the manual update file over to /storage/.update/ or the “Updates” samba share before rebooting to start the update process:

That is assuming Acer Aspire R3600 is intel? if not select the correct tar from the drop down on the downloads page

I did this some time ago, it worked ok for me, no need to use the image burning tool.
