If I were you, use a new usb, or, zero fill the old usb , then use rufus to create a new image
Are you sure the KIII is S905?

May I suggest as a compromise, perhaps a time limit could be set, for the release of the sources codes or whatever, ( I don't understand these things myself)
If after, say 2 weeks, nothing is produced, then perhaps a ban could be imposed?
I tried a search for "S905W" it brought up a lot of answers, I didn't read them, but it seems it is not supported. But you really need to search yourself.
My other suggestion, is to start a new thread, with more info in the title
ie
Help with S905W wanted
then be specific about the box, whether you are using internal or sd, does it boot, which version, which device tree. wifi or lan.
I have the same box, same version of Libreelec. Quite often, the internet doesn't seem to be connected, although I seem connected because the TVheadend client is working. & I think even movies play from my nas.
I am using wifi.
Check under system info, network. the subnet mask & gateway show as busy. when not fully connected
I sometimes have to reboot 3 or 4 times,
Download someone elses remote.conf file then place it in \storage\config just in case you have a remote conf already there, save it somewhere else
I use coreftp lite to access that.
If it doesn't work, then you need to modify it, use notepad++
to find out how to modify it, Create remote.conf from scratch
Ok, I have successfully installed LibreELEC onto an SD card and booted it. Yay. However, now the remote wont work so I can do anything. Is this a common problem and is there a fix?
Yep, me again, along with your post about usb ports not working, I'd be thinking of a hardware problem.
As I said on that post, it wouldn't do any harm installing a new version to sd card.
If, you don't get any answers. In your position, I would tell people the model of box. I assume Libreelec boots up & everything apart from the usb ports work.
If you have installed to an sd card, you could try creating a new image on a different sd card, & check again.
Even if you have installed to internal, you could create a new image on sd & reboot.
Hi guys, pretty noobie here,
1.
I have ordered the H96 PRO PLUS+ BOX from Banggood. I have seen some custom ROM on the website called FREAKTAB which is actually available in two versions one is a customised version know with SCV and the other is the Android TV version.
2.
And the bugs that are being fixed is pretty amazing there and there is no need for Dual boot and a lot of fixes like 4K youtube and Passthrough features are enabled and hell of a lot of fixes. So, can you suggest which is the best if any of you have tried and why it is better than Libreelec.
Perhaps it would be easier, if you tried these versions, then installed Librelec on a sd card to see for yourself.
Or it might just doesn"t. Of course I tried it.
You haven't been here long, sometimes people ask questions when they could have just searched the forums, or possibly googled. Or, just didn't try.
Hopefully, someone will have an answer for you.
Have you actually tried it? It might just work
Is there a difference in (felt) performance between installing LE internal compared to a fast SD card?
Device is a S905x device with 2 GB of RAM.
Currently I have it installed on a Samsung EVO+ SD card and I wonder if I should install it internal.
Would it feel "snappier"?
Btw: Thank you very much for all the work which is done here!
I didn't notice a difference on my beelink S905
Correct me if I am wrong, but should people with a S912 use the builds from [8.90.11a] LibreELEC 9.x for S912
because it is a later version?
This post title needs to be edited so that S912 is removed?
Install it manually then
Can you power on the box with the remotes? I have the same box and remotes, but I can not power on the box.
I also want the power button of the mx3 remote to do nothing, because sometimes my son press that button by accident and than the box powers off. I have tried everything but maybe it is just not possible...
I have a H96 Pro NOT PLUS. My remote looks the same, I can turn the box on & off with the red button
I don't use bluetooth, so I'm sorry I can't help
Where is this, how will I find it? and what should I do?
you can either get the remote.conf from your android box or create/edit another
Create remote.conf from scratch
you need to ssh in to your box, I use coreftplite, copy the remote.conf & edit using notepad, save the original
there is a list of remotes you can copy & edit
your android remote could be somewhere in the etc folder, but I am not sure, or it's in \storage\config
when you have created the remote.conf save it to \storage\config & reboot the box
