Thank you for doing this! Is it quite usable yet with PVR (tvheadend) and Blu-ray playback? Can I use the MakeMKV addon from your LibreELEC-8.2-Remix?

I have the generic X64 LE build and MakeMKV addon from that Google drive. I suppose it will be hard for you to reproduce without an optical drive. I have a region B drive and try to play a region A disc with Java menu. Or can Blu-ray ISO be region protected?

I don't see anything regarding java. Only wget usage info because of

invalid option -- 'o'

If I use -r switch and info command of makemkvcon it lists also some info about the disc. But nothing about java or jre.

Added that export, but I changed the path to /storage/.kodi/addons/java/jre/ because that's where your Java addon was extracted to. But it didn't make any difference it seems.

Wow, it works! I'm on LE 8 Remix by escalade. But it looks like if I want to use MakeMKV I have to set the Java path in the settings of MakeMKV. MakeMKV - BD-Java

Because when I start the disc with simplified menu, then MakeMKV decodes the disc fine. But when I start the disc with full Blu-ray menu I get only the region warning screen. It's a region A disc, and I'm in region B. So my guess is that MakeMKV can't find the jre. So my question now is how do I set Java path in MakeMKV settings?

I can watch Finnish TV on apps, but not Swedish TV due to regional limitations (don't want to muck about with proxies). I need PVR so I can record when Björgen is skiing 😁 Yes, I have some region A Blu-rays that I play with LE. It works. Some TV series discs can be a pain to find episode order though. BTW. did you update the MakeMKV addon?

Isn't B7 last years model? I don't like streaming vs. Blu-ray discs and I want live TV and PVR for sports programmes.

Which LG did you get? Well LE and Kodi are still great for live TV and PVR.

escalade - that would be too bad for us others if there wont be an LE9 remix. I really hope that you can get back to us when the LE9 betas start.

Did that 10 minutes ago but thanks anyway! It worked. Even using EXT driver on Windows 10.

BlaBla1973 that's different from mine. I get no text at all, only blinking cursor.

Edit : it was easy to solve really. Manually copy the files KERNEL and SYSTEM from the release archive to the system partition and it's working again

Updated to generic x64 20180209. Update went through OK according to messages, but it bricked my LE. I see only a large blinking cursor at boot.

I don't know if this is specific to this build and I can't find another thread about it, so I ask here. For some months now I have a frequent problem with wifi settings (in LibreELEC settings). I use static IP. Every couple of days I have had to re-enter the wifi IP settings because they seem to disappear. And sometimes the LibreELEC settings plugin crashes Kodi when I click Edit. Today I got tired of this and write protected the Connman settings files. Did anyone else have this problem?
