The storage partition is expanded upon initial boot. So you may have interrupted the boot process.

Just do a clean install and let it boot normally.

AMD can do DTS-HD and TrueHD just fine, but I think atmos is TrueHD + some extra channels.

Yes, use the USB to emmc adapter and it will work just fine.

Are you using some custom key map.xml or similar? Can you post a kodi debug log?

Does it work in the latest alpha?

Does it work with a clean install?

Another question, do you really have an RPi2 and not an RPI B+ maybe?
