flirc "just works" there is nothing to setup. Simply use the remote mapping program when the flirc is plugged into your normal desktop computer, then transfer the flirc dongle to your RPi after everything is mapped.

You could also go to Settings>Appearance>Zoom and reduce it to fit the screen
do no do this. It is not the correct way to do it.
In the config.txt you can disable overscan

no idea what a venz box is but chromium is only available for x86

I include a patch in Sx05RE to make it work.
LibreELEC.tv/xbox-one-support.patch at Sx05RE · shantigilbert/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
if you include this on another build and compile it, it should work.
I don't understand how this patch is applied, you have it in the default patches folder which only applies to the mainline kernel but s905 devices use the amlogic-3.14 kernel.
Explain

Never seen it. Something can probably be pieced together with python though.

There is no hardware accelerated decoding support for qualcom gpu's on linux (other than V4L2 which isn't supported in kodi)
Then I have no idea if it's even possible to get linux running on it.

libdvdcss is build statically, so there is no .so lib.
see, xbmc/Makefile at master · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub
the same thing is relevant for libdvdread and libdvdnav

My first question would be why is your LibreELEC device open to the Internet? If it isn't then you possibly have a different device that is infected.
-
just use the backup and restore function in the LibreELEC settings add-on.
-
What is your hyperion setup like? are you directly accessing SPI or are you using a usb device (like an arduino).
-
In the chromium add-on setting there is an option to install flash player
-
update channels will only show when automatic updates are set to manual.

With all due respect, are you just going to completely ignore the massive security implications and do absolutely nothing until 17.3 is out and tested? That leaves users absolutely vulnerable for god knows how long, I know making a system isn't a cut and paste job, but this is honestly irresponsible.
Feel free to build LibreELEC yourself if you are that concerned. All the code is public.
In the meantime I'd advise not downloading any unknown zip files

Uhh we don't ship OMXplayer on the base system. So I'm not sure what you are talking about.
The OMXplayer support in kodi is built into kodi, there is nothing to update there.
Unless I'm missing something....

I was suspecting that. I have made a backup, so I'll try resizing with gparted. Thanks! We default to a 512MB system partition now, so that's all that you need.
