You cannot rename the file. It has to be the same name as when the backup was created

Rockchip support is pre-alpha. Why would you buy a board and expect support for it so early?

You have to use SSH
accessing_libreelec [LibreELEC]
also, we have openvpn include by default. I'd suggest looking into the zomboided vpn add-on.

How did you make the usb drive?

No! Since auto update will never update your system it seems.
But it does. If set to auto update the update download in the background, then notifies when the download completes and will update when the user reboots.

First of all a user would need to understand that he needs to toogle from auto update to manual update. Check for available versions shows only if you switch from auto update to manual update. I think this is a terrible solution from a ux perspective especially since auto update is set as default since one of the recent LE versions.
Being a ux designer myself i can promise you that no user is going to understand this if he did not went through this process at least once before.
There is no point in calling something "auto update" if you need to toggle from auto to manual to be able to update.
I am happy to assist in redesigning this flow i case you guys see the point and have the need for support.
Seems pretty obvious to me. You want to update you system manually, so you switch to manual update. You want your system to auto update, you switch it to auto update.

We don't support nfsv4
I had this old package to get nfsv4 support, but it's just not worth it. unofficial-addons/package.mk at master · OpenELEC/unofficial-addons · GitHub

you actually need the scripts from here GitHub - pimoroni/clean-shutdown: Python daemon to watch a GPIO pin and trigger a clean shutdown.
It looks like it should all work, but you need to edit a lot of path's and make a systemd unit file to get it to work.
My option: just leave the Pi on all the time

It might work depending on which kernel you use. We use our own amlogic kernel from our repo.

Please post the entire error that you are getting with the USB-SD creator utility.
You can write the .img files provided to a usb stick. The USB-SD creator utility just provides a simple cross platform way to do it easily.

what do you mean by a "build"??
RPi2 can only run software that is compiled for it specifically.
