Hi Guys,
Any update on this?
Thanks
Hi chewitt, I tested build 1023 in a netbook where I've tested the last stable release too and I saw that last builds has a lot of changes. My experience was no good in this netbook neither. I couldn't change the skin and playing a video was extremely low and with much lag.
I know maybe I'm asking for something that is not where LibreELEC is going, but could you add VIA AC97 support for the previous release? Can you help me in doing it myself if you are not willing to do it? (I'm not an expert in Linux neither compiling apps but I can follow instructions)
I can tell you that if I can have the last stable version with sound I cannot ask anymore from LibreELEC. That's all I need with my old computer.
Thanks a lot.
I made the update. Now the system hangs while booting at the LibreELEC logo.
I checked the log file and it seems it could load the sound device. I can also see it running aplay -l:
It seems to have an issue with the video now. Anything changed in this version?
The log file:
dVHb
I've tried build 1023 too just in case with the same results.
Please let me know if I can help with any other test or information.
Thanks!
hi guys. Thank you very much for the inmediate response. I've been busy this days but I'll try it before the end of the week and let you know.
Thanks again!
Hi,
I tried to migrate from Kodibuntu to LibreELEC. It worked much faster (great work!) and everything is fine except for the audio.
I'm running it in a old machine (I know). It's a AMD Athlon with an ASUS K8 mother with onboard VIA AC97 audio.
In the LibreELEC audio settings I can only see an output device called "Default, Bluetooth Audio (PULSEAUDIO)". I cannot select any other audio output device and I have no sound. It is strange because the PC does not have any bluetooth device.
I have no problems with this PC audio in Linux Mint, Lubuntu and Kodibuntu, but I really want to be able to use LibreELEC as I could play 720p videos fluidly that had lags with Kodibuntu and some MKV files that Kodibuntu had issues at playing.
Here's the log:
bfKS
And here's the lspci output in case it can help.
