I am seeking your assistance in recovering a bricked MXQ Pro 4K 5G Android TV box. I found your name through the LibreELEC investigation of the Android firmware build M8-20221108.
Device identification
- Retail model: MXQ Pro 4K 5G
- SoC: Amlogic S805 (Meson8B)
- CPU: Quad-core ARM Cortex-A5, ARMv7 32-bit
- Platform identifier: m201C
- RAM/storage: Reported 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage
- Original Android: Android 5.1, API 22
- Original firmware build: M8-20221108
- Wi-Fi: Realtek RTL8189ES
- Reported memory/eMCP marking from the related hardware investigation: KMQN10006B-B318
- Related PCB marking reported in that investigation: MXQ_221805_v1.1 (my individual board revision is not yet independently confirmed)
Current condition
The box is currently bricked and no longer boots into Android. I previously used LibreELEC 9.2.8.20 with Kodi 18.9. I am trying to restore the original Android factory software.
Could you please provide:
- The original full factory firmware image compatible with this hardware.
- The corresponding Amlogic USB Burning Tool recovery package or instructions.
- The matching bootloader and partition layout, if these are separate from the main image.
- Confirmation of the PCB revision and memory configuration supported by the image.
I do not want to flash firmware intended for a different MXQ variant. I can supply PCB photographs and additional chip markings for confirmation.
If you no longer maintain this firmware, could you please identify the original manufacturer or another source for the correct factory image?
