Thanks for the suggestions. It seems MythTV is for an external backend and all of my HTPC's have internal Tuners but it did encourage me to look for a different PVR backend and I found NextPVR in the LE repository. I had used it on Windows machines in the past to control TV tuners but had always found the TV interface clunky. It helped that I was already familiar with the web interface so setup was super easy. Thanks again for the suggestions and a shout out to emveepee. Not necessarily an answer to my original quest but it has solved the actual issue, so this could be marked as solved.

I have been running XBMC/Kodi/Libreelec on x86 based HTPC's since MS discontinued support for Media Center with the release of Windows 10. I am currently using Libreelec 12.2.1 as a media manager for my CD/DVD/Bluray collection stored on my Treunas server and as a DVR for OTA broadcasts. I have been using TVHeadend for the PVR functions for several years, but about eight months ago it stopped grabbing season/episode info for the recordings. After months of manually adding that info to the recordings I am finally trying to automate that process again. Living in USA it seems the best solution is using an account from Schedules Direct to create a XLMTV file TVHeadend can use. The problem I am running into is trying to find a way to do this in Libreelec. Googling the problem leads to an obsolete LE add-on that requires Python 2 or using a script built into TVHeadend that uses Perl. All of my HTPC's are x86 processor based with multiple internal Hauppauge ATSC tuners that record to the Truenas server so I can access all my recordings and media files from each of our TV's. So my question is are there any other USA based Libreelec users currently using a SD account to get OTA TV info with TVHeadend that might be able to point me to a current solution to this issue?
