It's not uncommon to find Android u-boot firmware that hardcodes the same MAC for all devices, so LE normally (re)creates a new MAC from the CPU serial which is guaranteed to be unique.

Got it, I’ll always keep that in mind now. It’s the right approach and overall it increases reliability. It’s just that sometimes it can be a bit surprising. That’s the fine line where you have to decide: “fix someone else’s mistakes or let the user fix them on their own — after all, they chose the device themselves.” Either way, everything in LE is very logical.)

The problem is that I need a dmesg or a pastekodi output to continue. If there is no LAN, then this is only possible by connecting to WiFi or with diagnostics under UART.

Thank you for getting back to me. I managed to figure out what the issue was. I feel a bit silly, since it ended up not being anything complicated — but on the bright side, it might be an interesting case.

On the old firmware, the box had MAC C4:2F:AC:13:70:06, which matched the label on the case.
After flashing your firmware, the MAC changed to CE:4A:CB:C0:24:BB, so the router assigned it a different IP. That made it look like ping was permanently lost.

Now everything works perfectly, and I'm absolutely thrilled.
The command "installentware" installed Entware without any issues, and now I’m saving a ton of time by quickly installing all sorts of handy tools.

Hi. Thanks for all your hard work. And now, finally, you've added Entware support—that's fantastic.

I have an M8 S802 box. For some reason I can't figure out, I can't get it to boot from a USB drive—no matter what I try, I always end up in recovery mode. The only option that works for me is "apply update from EXT." The only firmware that successfully installed this way was LibreELEC-Amlogic.arm-M8-7.0.2-update.zip from this link: https://mega.nz/folder/W0Qk2JI…folder/3ohmxIaJ.

Everything works well on that version, except for Wi-Fi (which I don't need anyway). After that, I can successfully update to your build, but then the LAN stops working. I've tried many of your firmware versions, including LibreELEC-k200-AP6330_2G.arm, but the result is always the same—non-functional LAN.

Any idea how to fix this?
