A modern web browser is a media player on its own. So it goes to a wrong direction on LE. If one needs Kodi and a web browser, install a regular OS like Ubuntu or Raspberry Pi OS.
I don't believe this is true.
For me at least, Kodi is a replacement for "smart" TVs. If a critical component like a web browser is missing, it forces me back to the TV.
Libreelec is not an embedded system, and we can take advantage of that fact. I feel a lot of hostility towards actual users when they have reasonable requests like this.
