Is it possible with tvheadend 4.2 to pipe a stream while at the same time transcoding it?

I've tried setting vcodec to libx264 but the mux always fails to scan. If i leave vcodec as copy it always works.

Reason i want to try this is, is that i have a stream that works fine with vlc but kodi pvr has special buffer certains (wellit did from i what have read) and the stream always buffers after a while. So just wondering would transcoding the stream to a lower resolution and bitrate sort the buffer issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone have trouble with web interface? sometimes doesnt accept username and password first time around and doesnt accept a second user account i set up at all.

Don't know if its any different but i actually installed this version that Cvh had linked on the openelec forum before he linked to the version above

edit: looks like it no longer works so you'll just have to hope Cvh links to a build for rpi3. Only realized you are using rpi3 from your post so previous link wouldnt work as thats for x86_64 builds only.

Disable 4.0 first in case it causes issues with ports due to 4.0 and 4.2 running at same time.

Worked for me albeit after some messing about. The addon and addon_data folder names are different than normal so had to rename the existing addon_data folder (i.e. service.multimedia.tvheadend to service.tvheadend42).

Not a libreelec specific issue as it was the same with openelec but would be great if some one had a solution!

I'm using tvheadend along with two tbs 6985 tuners and one Sony play tuner and is working fine. However i now would like to get suspend and resume working.

I'm using cvh's crazycat builds and have added this to the tvheadend settings but have had no luck (order makes no difference). Channels dont work when the pc resumes. PC suspends ok.

Tvheadend 4.2 with transcoding support is already at the official LibreELEC addon repository

It doesnt show up me for me, just 4.0.
