Hahaha, I wasn't planning on hijacking my own thread, it was more steaming off on things that are supposed to work... but often don't. Add all the time spent to make them work...

dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus-std, slave in config.txt has resurrected 52Pi NVDAC in the Audio output list.
One problem solved... Now to solving YouTube, Netflix and EON TV and it may even end up as useable setup.
Initially I did nothing with config.txt
Later I modified config.txt to put dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus, as suggested by 52Pi for standard version of Rasbian, which have resulted in no sound coming out on any of these three listed audio output devices yet 52Pi NVDAC (or variant hifiberry-dacplus).
I am plying around LibreELEC and I am unable to get the sound to 52Pi NVDAC for Pi5 HAT.
I only get three options to select from in Audio Settings/System:
ALSA: vc4-hdmi-1, MAI PCM i2S=hifi-0
ALSA: vc4-hdmi-1, PHL Philips FTV on HDMI
and
PULSE: Default, Bluetooth Audio (PULSE AUDIO)
This HAT is installed on top of Raspberry Pi5 (8G) and works fine in Volumio.
Interesting is that I have tried my external USB DAC and it shows, connects and plays fine. However, there is a situation in which I ultimately must use 52Pi NVDAC for Pi5. BTW, this HAT is pretty much generic HiFiBerry DAC+ knockoff.
Any advice on how to address this issue would be appreciated.
I am using the most recent LibreELEC distribution.
