problem solved.
go to settings and chose "user specified" when asked for a vpn service. (not ExpressVPN)
enter your credentials and keys.
start the vpn and you will receive an error log prompting you to make slight changes in the .ovpn-file:
delete "ns-cert-type server" and add "remote-cert-tls server" instead.
That solved the prob for me

I try to run OpenVPN 7.0.4 on LibreElec and want to connect to ExpressVPN.
Entering my credentials always leads to the following error message:
"Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in /storage/.kodi/addons/service.vpn.manager/ExpressVPN/Austria(UDP).ovpn:22:keysize(2.6.14)"
I can't find a "keysize" entry in my .ovpn-file.
I have the same problem. I installed openvpn to kodi and try now to activate expressvpn. But I can't manage to do so.
