I managed to edit the uEnv.ini file. The solution was simple - I just had to remove the SD card and reinsert it into my computer. After that, Windows recognized the LIBREELEC partition, and I could access and edit the uEnv.ini file. I've changed the DTB to meson-gxl-s905x-p212.dtb as suggested. I'll test it soon on my Mecool M8S Pro+ .

The AMLGX "box" image. There's no specific device tree for M8S Pro+ but it's an S905X device so experiment with the p212 device and/or other meson-gxl-s905x-* dtb files. Also read this: https://wiki.libreelec.tv/hardware/amlogic
I've downloaded the LibreELEC USB-SD Creator and used it to write the LibreELEC-AMLGX.aarch64-12.0.1-box.img.gz to a microSD card. However, I'm now facing an issue. After writing the image, Windows no longer recognizes the SD card properly. It's prompting me to format the drive, which I know I shouldn't do. The problem is, I can't access or edit the uEnv.ini file as suggested in the installation guide. I need to change the DTB file to make it work with my device. Questions:
Is it safe to proceed without editing uEnv.ini? Will the device automatically choose the correct DTB?
If not, how can I edit uEnv.ini when Windows can't access the SD card?
Are there any alternative methods to set the correct DTB for my Mecool M8S Pro+?Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I have a Mecool M8S Pro+ Android TV box and I'm looking to install LibreELEC on it. However, I'm not sure which image is compatible with this device. The box uses an Amlogic chipset, but I couldn't find a specific image for this model on the official download page. Can anyone advise which LibreELEC image would be suitable for the Mecool M8S Pro+? Or are there any community builds available for this device? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
