On LE12 I also had some entrys in the logs regarding audio and alsa. But I didn't took a deeper look into it, just checked the logs of the steam link launcher. I'm also new to this stuff, so if some needs additional information, please let me know which logs or stuff can help.

Is there any update to this issue?
I did a couple of tests today with clean installations of LE on my RPi4 and got the followiing results:
LE 10.0.4 --> works
LE 11.0.6 --> didn't work --> same issue as dtech posted above
LE 12.0.0 --> didn't work --> screen goes black and then the LE UI comes back
I did additional tests on my RPi3:
LE 11.0.6 --> works
LE 12.0.0 --> didn't work --> screen goes black and then the LE UI comes back
