wel you should be able to do it in kodi pretty easily, as i use the this exact feature of my wifi AP but it uses FTP rather than SMB

what kind of share is it that you are using is it ftp or samba/SMB

i am using a cheap chinese tv box with allwinner h3 everything works except the optical port and wifi, audio is not an issue as it has analog output, the problem is wifi, after reading the wiki i founfd the firmware online and added it to the firmware folder but when when i boot up and check dmesg theres no indication of the wifi chip

is H265 (HEVC) hardware decoding still supported for H3. im running LE11 and im having problems with playing FHD HEVC content due to it being software decoded(the output is choppy).
