    OK, I'm updating my own post, and the title.

    I find this a lot online, and I hope some join in. I've narrowed it down a but. There is absolutely no problem playing movies of my media server or streaming IPTV. Going SHIFT-CTRL + O and watching the aq and vq values, they stay above 90%.

    But streaming live TV, the vq is OK, but it's the aq that's suffering, falling to zero and causing the stuttering.

    My experience is very similar to this thread:

    Recent post with identical issues

    Something is interfering with the audio coming from live TV. I've tried all of the suggestions in the post above but no improvement.

    I'm trying to update my generic Intel installation on an Intel NUC. It's currently at 17.6. I want to update to the latest, v.18.9. I know that I'm supposed to download the .tar update file for my platform and stick it into the update folder. But for the life of me, I can't fine it. All I see on the website is the full .gz installation files. Anyone lead me in the right direction?

    *********** FOUND IT ***********

    Hello All. New user here.

    Yesterday I installed the newest version of Libreelec on new Pi4B w 2gb memory with newest firmware eproms flashed. Outputting to an Lg 55" smart TV over HDMI.

    I have tried through the system menus to adjust the display size as Kodi is off the edge of the screen by about 4 centimeters. It's easy enough to set, but doesn't stay. Seems that maybe going into certain screens reset it, as it works for a while, and even survives a reboot, but at times it doesn't.

    I have not made changes to my /flash/config.txt file, I don't know if that will make the screen size stick. Seems like a pretty serious problem, I'm surprised this isn't easy. Resolution is 1920x1080, refresh is 59.3 or whatever the tv is, and it's driving me nuts.

    OK, you've all seen this post a 1000 times, and I need some help and nothing I've read works.

    New install. No addons installed yet except those needed for live TV/PVR.

    Newest version of Libreelec on new Pi4B w 2gb memory with newest eproms flashed. Tuner is Hauppage WinTV Dual Tuner.

    NETWORK: I have a fast wired cable connection (or fast enough, package is 300down, 20up) with speed tests showing 180mb/s download, with the Pi set to a static IP. Google Nest pucks, 3 in a condo of 1600sqft, with fast connection from the same hub at my computer and TV which can all stream 4K.

    Created an advancedsettings.html file as follows:

    LibreELECBR:~/.kodi/userdata

    <advancedsettings>

    <cache>

    <network>

    <buffermode>1</buffermode>

    <memorysize>209715200</memorysize>

    <readfactor>20</readfactor>

    </network>

    </cache>

    </advancedsettings>

    Server and client are both set up on the same Raspberry Pi. The front end is the TV Headend HTSP client and the back end is the TV Headend Server, both downloaded from the Libreelec repository. I have about a dozen channels in the Toronto area, I am a mile from the CN Tower with a good antenna.

    All addons are up to date.

    I've set frame rate of the player to 59.94 same as LG TV. Resolution 1920 x 1080.

    Adjust refresh display rate = ALWAYS

    Sync playback to display = OFF

    Please take some time to help a new user.

    Subject says it all. Used the .update file method with the tar file. The upgrade worked perfectly. All addons intact, settings intact etc.

    But when I tried to go in with Winscp afterwards (same method I logged into the Kodi box to put the .tar file in the .update folder), the password I had been using doesn't work. Checked numlock and capslock etc., cut and paste password from file, typed many times. Can't log in on the network.

    Any suggestions? I'm on a Windows network, the Kodi box is an Intel 64 bit I5.
