I'm a total beginner here and I'm getting lost both in that thread and in the wiki. How do I access the ir-keytable output log? And what's an mce-kbd protocol?

I've recently started using LibreELEC and I wanted to use my Windows MCE keyboard for it, but unfortunately it does not want to work properly. The remote control buttons on the sides work, as do the hotkeys, but anything else (from the mouse clicks and nubbin to the actual keyboard part) does not want to work at all. I tried looking into the setting to see if I could map it to the default kodi keyboard layout, but it did not even want to register the clicks I did with the keyboard. Does anyone know of an add-on/configuration/whatever else that could enable keyboard functionality for this keyboard? Thanks in advance.
