I cannot seem to edit my previous post, but i wanted to add that the 'kmsprint' command works again after i rebooted the RPI.

    Code
    Emu:~ # kmsprint

     Encoder 0 (31) TMDS
       Crtc 2 (86) [email protected] 148.500 1920/88/44/148/+ 1080/4/5/36/+ 60 (60.00) P|D

Hi, this seems to be the exact same behavior we are discussing here:

    [BUG] RPI5 kernel panic · Issue #1009 · jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon.2
Skin section Fullscreen Video OSD Current Behavior If i select a live tv channel or VOD the audio starts playing for a few seconds, then stops. The video is…
    github.com

    And here:

So it seems to happen on:

    • RPI3b
    • RPI4
    • RPI5

According to @Ozymandyaz the user in the github issue, it is not happening on 11.0.3

Hope this helps to narrow down the search a little bit :)

This issue is also being discussed in the following github issue:

    [BUG] RPI5 kernel panic · Issue #1009 · jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon.2
Skin section Fullscreen Video OSD Current Behavior If i select a live tv channel or VOD the audio starts playing for a few seconds, then stops. The video is…

It seems this happens also on RPI4 with libreelec on anything above LE11.0.3

Can anybody shed a light on what might be causing this failure?

    Hello,

I recently bought a new RPI5 and installed it with:

    LibreELEC (community): nightly-20240116-0f6c393 (RPi5.aarch64)

(i also tried it with 11.0.5 stable version but the result was the same)

If i select a tv channel from the EPG i have a 50/50% chance that it completely crashes the system.

From the kodi log itself it only shows these type of messages:

    Full kodi.log

    hastebin

    Full dmesg

    hastebin

Let me know if there is anything else you might need to look into this issue.

    Thanks in advance!
