Huh, interestingly, the play button gets sent to my computer! No other key seems to work.

Huh, I'm playing with this these days.
Interestingly, for me CEC works in different Linux distributions, but I can't get remote control passthrough to work. I can switch inputs with cec-ctl however.
By the previous commands I deduct that yes, a full LibreElec build is likely needed. Perhaps this could be reenabled? Nowadays I found it very hard to source a Pulse8 adapter, yet I could buy the CAC-1080 adapter relatively easily.
I wonder if any of you got remote control passthrough to work. (That is, you press down on your *TV* remote and you get a down keypress in LibreElec/Kodi.)
I'm wondering if I'm missing some magic sauce, AMDGPU is subtly broken so only remote control passthrough doesn't work, or just my cable is bad...

Hi,
I was perusing threads yesterday because I want to attach a USB hard drive to my RPI3 to provide extra storage. Specifically, for TVHeadend recordings.
I found a few threads that hinted that LibreElec would automatically mount filesystems, following the partition label, but I didn't get that to work.
I also found https://wiki.libreelec.tv/how-to/mount_network_share .
I am happy to edit and contribute to the wiki:
* If automatic mounting is not possible, I can edit this page so that it's not limited to "network storage", and explain how to create a systemd unit to mount an external USB HDD, if that is the way to go.
* If automatic mounting is possible, I can edit this page or create a new one explaining how to get it to work, if I get some hints to get it working.
Cheers,
Álex
