your are right, errors are still there for me too on rpi3.
I had 2 recordings today without errors, so I thought the issue is gone but in the third recording there are errors again.
Sorry for the noise.
Hopefully you'll find the harmful commit.

please try latest test builds from Milhouse:
yes tested it but didn't get it working (also not at raspbian) so I guess it is still broken
Thanks for testing - would you add a comment to the tvh ticket Feature #4572: OMX Support - Tvheadend
I need to find my RPi to make some screens
Basically you have to go to the transcoding settings, create an new transcoding profile with mmal, create an NEW streaming profile and use the transcoding profile you made.
Did you have time to test and some documentation?

I already tried that, but I always get errors when I open livetv window and than select the new streaming profile.
screens would be of great help.
Could you please explain how to set up hw-transcoding in tvh on rpi?
I'm considering to buy a rock64, could someone test uhd livetv with high refreshrates 50/60 hz?
I know about the limitations, so I was surprised to read it's possible to stream 4 hd channels on rpi2.
Which kernel are you using on rpi2? You don't have discontinuity errors in tvheadend with latest kernels?
Ok, thanks for the info and the manual updates!
Did you get omx transcoding to work with latest build?
I also tried this build, I'm getting the following error:

I'm using rpi3 with technotrend s2-4600 dvb card.
Very frustrating, no improvement since more than half a year.
Unfortunately I have no such Linux skills.
