I can also confirm the above on my Minix Neo U1 (S905).

Also, when the delay is over, the next video in a playlist (when "play next video automatically" is on) freezes on the first frame and the audio carries on for a maybe 10 seconds and then stops. Screen remains frozen for 30-40 seconds then starts up at the beginning of the video as normal.

It is working here on my Minix U1. You can provide dmesg | paste so that I can see if you have a proper device tree. Maybe you are using the one I posted a few days back? That one is not correct.

    Certainly.. here is the output
    WCdc

EDIT: I'm pretty sure I grabbed the neo-U1 device tree dated 03-Mar-2017.. is that not the latest available? kszaq Is there a newer device tree that is not listed in the S905 folder?

Hmm.. Still not getting audio out from the analog output. Updated to 8.0.0d from 8.0.0c and tried with both gxbb_p200_2G_minix_neo_u1.dtb and gxbb_p200_2G_1Gbit_OTG_Port.dtb device trees and no analog sound either way. Everything else seems to work as normal and expected. Went back into Android and changed the settings for audio output to "auto" instead of HDMI in case that might carry over into LE but still nothing. I did check it while in Android and the port is working so it isn't a hardware failure, AFAIK.

Thanks again for your efforts, kszaq

    Hi kszaq.

Thank you for all you hard work thus far. These builds just keep getting better and better.

Neo U1 with LE booting from USB. Tested headphone jack output with both gxbb_p200_2G_minix_neo_u1.dtb and gxbb_p200_2G_minix_neo_u1-variant2.dtb with the LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-8.0.0c-es8323codec-test2.tar file and neither would give audio output on the headphone jack using headphones plugged in directly. As well, with the headphones unplugged, no audio would play through my Onkyo AVR via HDMI connection.

    Perhaps, of NOTE:

The System Settings -> Audio -> Audio output device options for the gxbb_p200_2G_1Gbit_OTG_Port.dtb with the 8.0.0c image are

    ALSA:AML-M8AUDIO,PCM
    ALSA:AML-M8AUDIO,HDMI
PULSE: Default, Bluetooth Audio (PULSEAUDIO) - Audio functioning correctly on AVR with both PCM and HDMI. Bluetooth not tested

The System Settings -> Audio -> Audio output device options for the gxbb_p200_2G_minix_neo_u1.dtb and the LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-8.0.0c-es8323codec-test2.tar image are

    ALSA:AML-M8AUDIO,HDMI
PULSE: Default, Bluetooth Audio (PULSEAUDIO) - Audio not functioning on HDMI or through headphone jack. Bluetooth not tested

The System Settings -> Audio -> Audio output device options for the gxbb_p200_2G_minix_neo_u1-variant2.dtb and the LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-8.0.0c-es8323codec-test2.tar image are

PULSE: Default, Bluetooth Audio (PULSEAUDIO) - Audio not functioning on HDMI (of course) or headphone jack. Bluetooth not tested

Hope this helps and again, thanks for all your great work.

Not sure if this is a problem with LE or Kodi but I'm having playback issues with beta4 (both temp_sensor_disabled and normal image) running via USB on Minix Neo U1 (S905). I have two 4K videos I use to stress the OS releases and with one of them the video freezes after about 6 seconds and audio keeps going for about another 10 seconds then it all stops. the U1 still responds to remote presses and hitting stop gets the player back to the menu. Both play perfectly in beta3

Please let me know if there's anything more I can provide.

    Thanks.

Can someone with an S905 Chip Box (NOT AN S905x Chip)
using this build insert a USB stick into their box and perform some on off reboots . As many as possible as i am looking whether a Boot Freeze occurs at random.#216

kostaman - Running from USB on a Minix Neo U1 (S905) I just updated from 12-04-2016. After uploading the 12-23-2016 img.gz and 011 device tree and running the command

    Code
    touch /storage/.update/.nocompat

the first reboot to trigger the update stalled at the Minix boot splash screen. Disconnected power from mains, powered on and update completed successfully. Then:

    1. Reboot from the power menu successfully booted to LibreElec
    2. Power off System from the power menu, then powered on and the system stalled at Minix boot splash screen. Disconnected from mains and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    3. Power off System from the power menu, then powered on and the system stalled at Minix boot splash screen. Disconnected from mains and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    4. Reboot from the power menu and the system stalled at Minix boot splash screen. Disconnected from mains and booted to LibreElec succesfully.
    5. Power off System from the power menu, then powered on and the system stalled at Minix boot splash screen. Disconnected from mains and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    6. Reboot from the power menu and saw error message (too fast for me to capture) booted to LibreElec succesfully.
    7. Reboot from the power menu successfully booted to LibreElec.
    8. Reboot from the power menu and saw error message (again, too fast for me to capture but was about failure starting RPC bind) booted to LibreElec successfully.
    9. Power off System from the power menu, (system went to Standby not full power off) then powered on and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    10. Power off System from the power menu, (system went to Standby not full power off) then powered on and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    11. Reboot From Internal from the power menu to return to Android then full power off then powered on and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    12. Power off System from the power menu, (system went to Standby not full power off) then powered on and booted to LibreElec successfully.
    13. Power off System from the power menu, (system went to Standby not full power off) then powered on and booted to LibreElec successfully.

It seems to have settled down, somewhat, now. I have to leave the house for some last minute Xmas errands so I am stopping for now but will be back in short order. I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Happy Holidays, all.

Looks like I spoke too soon... see post #286

Only had a few moments to test the dev build before my last update post and it seemed the av sync problem had been resolved but now it appears to have returned. Again, I checked the same video files on another machine and confirmed it isn't the file.

I suppose returning to 007 build is the best option for me at this time but I would like to confirm the best way to downgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Duke

I have not yet tried the latest dev build but certainly can give that a go if you think it may help the av sync issue. Will report back when I've had a chance to get it downloaded and installed.

    Duke

UPDATE: Thanks kostaman. Installed the dev build and av sync issue seems to be gone. Tested the same files again and no delay adjustments necessary.

Upgraded from 007 on a Minix Neo U1 (S905) and all seems to work except the av sync is off. All audio seems to be ahead by about 200 milliseconds. No sync problems in 007. Minix Neo U1 via HDMI -> Onkyo receiver via HDMI -> Panasonic Plasma. Checked same source files on RaspberryPi 3 running OSMC (same connection scheme) and no sync issues with the files themselves.

Otherwise, really enjoying LibreElec on the U1 and many, many thanks to kszaq for all the hard work.

    Duke

P.S. Is downgrading to 007 possible? Is it as simple and putting the 007 image and device tree files in the "Update" folder and rebooting?

Successfully working on a MINIX Neo U1 (S905) SD card method. All seems to work as expected but library scanning is very slow. A single, six episode season took more than a minute to complete. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this simply related to the SD card method or perhaps the card speed itself? Library shares are NFS automounted using system.d from a NAS on my network. I also have RasPis using similar mounting (though using modified fstab) that are scanning normally. I used an older, lower end card after hearing reports of others, using faster newer cards, not having success. I would prefer to use LE for media playback for obvious reasons but want to keep Android as well. Any help would be most appreciated.
