Hi all.
Guys, could you help me?
I have Mecool Kii pro s2/t2 2g/16g. When I try to load from Libre SD card, device is freeze on the s905 logo.
Where is the problem? Maybe in dtb.img?
By the way. I also have Kii plus device, & libre build working is fine, so I know how make SD images & enable multi boot on the Amlogic.
Are you using this one?

Regarding LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-devel-201710121457-gd562e8e-I
I'm not sure what's wrong but I got 2 hard freezes since I have upgraded from 8.1.10 on K1 plus combo. Never occured before, will switch back to 8.1.10 to evaluate. No logs, the device is locked, no ssh, no remote reaction.
This is only test build, trying modify video decoding to improve LiveTV playback.
How often appears freezing? When appears freeezing. Are you using SD card to boot LE?

Appreciate any help or assistance
Recently I noticed when I lunch live TV (DVBViewer PVR) any HD channels will not load for a while, first it will display a black screen then follow with the live Tv display but will staggered a times, when I change channel to SD the response is quick to display, every other files types such HEVC, SD, HD plays well, just the the Live TV HD has an issue.
To understand why the HD channel behaves in the manner, I activate the debug to capture any issue or issues, to be honest i have no clue with code reading nor to understand the solution to this problem.
I am hoping YOU expert would be able to advice what could be done to alleviate the issue
Full debug log
Brief Errors
*MOD_EDIT*: we have the full log file for that.
What seem to stands out is the timing between the video/audio is out of sync
video and audioQuote:22:33:21.189 T:545402122464 DEBUG: AddOnLog: DVBViewer Client: StreamReader: Started; url=http://192.168.1.104:7522/upnp/channelstream/3839.ts

22:33:28.839 T:545402122464 DEBUG: CVideoPlayer::HandleMessages - player started 2 (aka VideoPlayer_VIDEO)
There is no issue in ffmpeg. ffmpeg is used for demuxing and audio playback. For video is used HW decoding (am_h264).
There is probably issue in starting dequeue decoder buffer to output picture.
Try to upgrade to my test build, there is more descriptive debug log to help see decoder issue:
LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-devel-201710121457-gd562e8e-I.tar
BTW: From your log it is hard to classify playback as a ,smooth'. There is a lot of frame skips.
-
this way too complex for me...
Try to update to my latest test build (put .tar to /storage/.update and reboot box). In my build is Audio button correctly mapped to "Next Audio track" in Kodi.

Ha! So easy... when you know how!
Well it's a partial success in the sense that I can now see both tuners, whereas before I could only see one. Many thanks for that. But the problem with the continuity errors persists, and seems unimproved, when playing HD and also in SD (although there are fewer in SD).
I have noticed that, in tvheadend on my H96 Pro+, under Configuration=>Stream=>Stream Profiles I see:
audio
htsp
matroska
pass
wheras in tvheadend on my Linux Mint laptop I see:
audio
htsp
matroska
pass
webtv-h264-aac-matroska
webtv-h264-aac-mpegts
webtv-vp8-vorbis-webm
Has this got anything to do with it?
You need better antenna to improve signal. Stream Profile has nothing with it.
-
Many thanks to both wrxtasy and afl1 for such comprehensive answers.
afl1, I'm itching to try this patch but as yet I have no idea of how to do it. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks again.
Transfer .tar file to /storage/.update and reboot box. For transfer you can use WinSCP or SFTP under ssh session.

Test build corresponding to kszaq LE 8.1.10 with linux-220-hauppauge_dualhd_second_tuner_support.patch:
-
No sure about any patches, but generally...
You are asking too much of a AMLogic device running an old v3.14 Linux Kernel, which even when Media Build, more modern Linux Kernel DVB modules are backported into it, still has no guarantees of complete Plug and Play compatibility with external devices like USB tuners.
A bunch of USB Tuners work, then again some do not. You really have to find someone with an already working combo for any sort of guarantee of compatibility and reliability.
Your Linux Intel box runs a far more modern v4.13 Linux Kernel and because of that has almost guaranteed USB tuner compatibility. So does the Raspberry Pi.
The reason is very simple. In kszaq LE 8.1.10 build is missing linux-220-hauppauge_dualhd_second_tuner_support.patch. This patch is included only in official LE master (Leia). Also it is missing in LE 8.2. Tomorrow I'll build S912 version with this patch for testing.

There are different branches of tvh.
tvh 8.2.112 is from branch 4.2 and 8.2.200 is from beta branch 4.3.

sorry i meant TVH version, i've updated uncomplete original post
Again, software violating copyrights rules is unsupported by LE community. And finally issue is in oscam-emu. There are lot of descrambler errors:

I do confirm that dvb-s2 muxes that were not working before are working fine now in your build. Thanks a lot.
Pls, report version. "before" is very unspecific.
