New build is out, it only has slight changes to fix the Netflix addon issue.

Hi,
I just tried to install v1.0.2 on my KI Plus. Everything worked but it does only see the DVB-T receiver. Why does it not see the DVB-S and DVB-C?
I can't help much with DVB-T/S/C unfortunately as I don't own a device with these tuners.

So,
what you're telling me here,
is that I have to install clean, from scratch, this build in order to make amazon/netflix work?!
No, there is just an issue where updating your addons on the current build downloads an incompatible copy of inputstream.adaptive which breaks Netflix. It will be fixed in the next build which will be ready shortly, recompiling libreelec is a very time consuming process, roughly 2-3 hours each time I do it.
I have also removed the kodinerds repo from the next build and added the netflix repo, and enabled all the steaming media plugins by default so it's less hoops to jump through when installing netflix on a clean box. -
Short question, I have to flash your build from first post, then it's update automatically? Right?
Yes
What happens is the box will check the server daily to see if there is an update, if there is it will then download it and you will get a notification on both the update being available and also again when the download is finished.
When the download is finished you just reboot the box and it will be applied automatically. The notification will keep reminding you until you do. -
GDPR-2 Hey, can I flash your build over Gendos LE9?
Because I don't want to reconfigure my many add-ons and settings.
Yes you can, there should be no issues and if there is you can flash back.

is that really a solution, staying on an old version of inputstream? cos the new version works with other builds. and what if new versions of netflix plugin stop working with this version of inputstream?
It was merely a suggestion not a solution and as I already said this will be rectified later on today.
The version it is updating with is not any newer but was built for a different platform.
-
So, what do have to do when I already use the updated inputstream addon which is incomatible?
Any way to downgrade?
You can browse to the box over the network and remove the inputstream.adaptive folder from Addons then reboot.
A new build will be up later and binaries built specifically for the S905 just hang tight -
i may found the issue. its the inputstream addon.
Starting with a fresh install of Kodi.
Add-ons>Download>Install from repo>Kodinerds>Addon repo>Netflix addon repo>Install
Back to Install from repo>Netflix>Video>Netflix>Install>0.12.6>Ok
Open Netflix>Login>Enjoy =D-> this works
since we have auto update enabled, once inputstream addon gets updated automatically. then netflix will not work anymore. not sure why its incompatible with your build.
Your right there, the updated addon does seem to cause an issue, I will look into this now.
-edit
Looks like the updated addon causes a segmentation fault because the included libraries wasn't built for our devices. The kodi repository is pointing to Raybuntus OdroidC2 because there isn't one available for the S905 for Libreelec v9 at present,
Best option is to disable the auto update specific to the inputstream.adaptive addon for now.
I will have to compile all of the kodi binary addons and host them on my server and change the build to reflect this. -
Yay, it works!
If this info was included in the first post, it would have saved us from a lot of frustration.
I could of saved you the frustration a lot sooner if I had a proper bug report from the start, as I said in a previous post, most problems can be resolved in minutes if I know what is causing them but without any useful information I can't really help and it only took 3 days for someone to provide what I needed, I'm glad it's all good for you now -
I will try again. Just FYI, i just tried using your devel build and netflix works.
Thats because the devel build doesn't have libwidevinecdm.so so following the instructions you wrote then it would work it appears that script you have been executing has been the cause of your problems and not the build itself. I have made a note of this in the first post for future reference. -
I have a TX3 pro running LE9
Gendo's build installed on internal
Adam's build installed on usb
Just to give the steps I did
1. Install latest build on fresh usb
2. Libreelec booted fine.
3. Fixed some settings like time and network.
4. Noticed that inputstream is disabled. I've enabled and updated.
5. Installed Netflix Repo and then installed Netflix addon.
6. Logged in successfully, tried to play a video, netflix tries to play to it. Screen hangs then after about a minute Kodi restarts, but not LE.
7. Tried this command --- curl -Ls getwidevine.sh | bash
8. Restarted the box then tried playing a video again but same result.
Local and network videos played fine, I have no issues except for netflix not working.
Here are the debug logs, I've captured
LibreELEC:~ # paste /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
LibreELEC:~ # dmesg | paste
Just for troubleshooting I tried installing Gendo's on the same USB, and netflix is ok.
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed.
Following your steps to the letter I indeed got the same result and Kodi crashed/restarted.
Your doing it all wrong, step 4 is unnecessary and I think step 7 is what has caused your problems, libwidevinecdm.so is already included in my build so this is not necessary.
Follow the instruction below, confirmed working
Starting with a fresh install of Kodi.
Add-ons>Download>Install from repo>Kodinerds>Addon repo>Netflix addon repo>Install
Back to Install from repo>Netflix>Video>Netflix>Install>0.12.6>Ok
Open Netflix>Login>Enjoy =D -
GDPR-2 Any idea how to solve Netflix not playing.
I need more information from people because it seems to work for some (me included) and not for others. Have you tried setting your timezone settings as another user suggested?
It's hard to diagnose a problem when people make a post to report it and then give absolutely no information to back it up.
Exact steps taken to reproduce a bug is essential.
How have you installed the build (microusb/usb/nand)
Have you updated or done a complete fresh install
Steps taken to produce the bug
Any other steps you have taken in your install procedure or configuration of Kodi
I need a step by step of everything you have done to reproduce the bug on my end, when I can reproduce it then I can diagnose it because I'm basically private messaging people and waiting hours for a response for something I could possibly resolve in minutes. It's not just frustrating for you guys but it's also frustrating for me because I take it personally, I do not want to give you guys something that doesn't work or is only half baked and I do care about the quality of the work that I'm putting out there. -
I cannot update to 1.0.2 from 1.0.1.
I copy the the right dtb.img and img.gz file to 'update' folder and reboot...
Message: Missing kernel.img or SYSTEM
You need to copy the tar file into the Update folder, not the img.gz
-
not for me, tried loading 1.0.1 via usb, netflix goes to home screen when playing any video. will test some more.
Please provide a copy of your kodi.log
New build uploaded, reboot to update, changes below...
kodi updated to 75bddb4
ffmpeg updated to ffmpeg-d056a4c (3.4-Leia-Alpha-1) -
it it a fresh installation of 1.0.1, not an update
The log you uploaded has nothing in it pertaining to Netflix, it looks like a normal bootup log before you have executed any addons, it should be a lot bigger.
-
I will be rebasing the next build on Raybuntus repository as his is a lot more upto date than the LibreELEC master with a newer version of kodi and ffmpeg and more patches for the ARM chipset. Expect this some time in the next 24 hours. As with all of these builds they are highly experimental.

Netflix works here and it is working for others, could you try a fresh installation of everything.
This version works with NF
A couple of annoying bugs:
1. Audio defaults to the audio description stream. Is there a way change that?
2. Video resolution is one step below the stream's native resolution. For example, the info in the list says 1080p but it plays 720p. When the info says 720p, is plays 480p.
The audio stream can be selected in the audio settings and then set to default as for your second issue as ChimeyJimmey says this is down to the inputstream addon settings.
I've downloaded the 1.0.1 release.
Burnt the .img to the microSD with Rufus, Libreelec boots fine the first time.
Then, after the first reboot, it gives me the error in the pic.
That's very strange, I wonder if you have a hardware issue, I have tried running from the internal nand and a USB flash drive and not had that issue, I will try a microSD card later on tonight.

Is the linuxserver repo available along with the docker addon?
Thanks
No, however I can add it onto the next build, I wasn't sure whether anybody would use it.
