Ok it looks like and I'm only guessing here that there may be a loop of some sort because you don't have some of the icons the service is looking for and it's causing excessive CPU load which would be what is causing your freezing, I will try and look into this further.

Which device is it you have?

There is no debugging with the addon, logs won't help much with this issue, can you check CPU usage with top with it enabled and disabled, thanks

I've ordered a Tanix TX3 Max (S905W. 2GB/16GB) to go along with my two Nexbox A95 (S905X, 2GB/16GB), hopefully I've not made a mistake and we see Tanix follow through on their promises.

One thing for me which would make me more likely to recommend them would be if the Libreelec dual boot version could be swapped to a community build from kszaq so we're not waiting on updates (personally I won't use Android on it ever so I hope Libreelec will boot by default.

I believe the dual boot version is already based on the source by kszaq.

Unfortunately you will not see an official build that works 100% for Tanix TX3 mini, we still don't have the wifi driver for various reasons, the builds will work fine if you only require ethernet though.

Personally I find it very sad because I have always recommended Tanix products to everybody but for this particular device I can not recommend buying it for LE for the above reason, all the others they sell are okay.

Its very important that sources and/or changes to dtbs be posted so they can be included with the build so they automatically update on future updates and so other users can take advantage of them. Posting precompiled versions is not helpful.

I can not reproduce your issue, I tried this morning and again just now, I think your problem is PEBKAC and I don't think you understand what a device tree is for... the difference is a few lines of code which define which GPIO pins the display is wired into and nothing more than that, if you heard hissing or sizzling on all audio outputs then I would agree with you that something may be wrong but this appears not to be the case from what you are describing.

There is many users who are using this and you are the only one that it is creating issues for.

Post your exact steps of exactly what you are doing and upload a short sample of the video in question.

I was being sarcastic in reference to your box sizzling.

Your 100% doing something wrong then I own the TX3 Mini myself and I know for certain it works and multiple other people have confirmed it works also.

I did not implement the 4k fix on purpose in 8.90.3 because it caused a problem for me with my TV Lkz204Z.jpg

The issue can be resolved but it requires manual user intervention and I know peoples first response is to come and write up a bug report without even reading and create a panic out of nothing.

I'm making a list of device trees, but before I submit them I want to make sure that they work correctly. The only ones I'm positive about working correctly are for T95M, which I attached now, and you have the TX3 one. I'm not sure about this DTS being the final version either, the new 'display-type' property may require some more work.

I'm still working with someone to get the LCD to work correctly on his S912 X92 box, I think I got it, but waiting for his confirmation.

Ok well we can hold off submitting them for now but just keep it in mind, there is a dts repository available here GitHub - LibreELEC/device-trees-amlogic: Linux Kernel device tree files used in LibreELEC releases for Amlogic hardware which will eventually be used as part of the official LE build that they all need submitting to.

You can fork this and submit changes which I'm sure kszaq would appreciate as well.
