Think this is a topic just covered in the 007 release thread. I have the same box and issue. It seems the partition table is non standard and installtointernal doesn't work. I'm running a bootable SD for now, and maybe for the foreseeable future ;)

    Vodkaneat,

When ya have Libreelec running from the SD do ya control which buttons via the reset button?

Would be cool if we could have a dual boot screen, which I'm guessing with libreelec bootloader will be doable.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. I prepare a bootable SD as per kszaq's instructions, insert and reboot using the toothpick method. LE boots, does some magic and reboots. This reboot will hang for me admittedly, but if I power off and on, the box will automatically boot from SD from this point onwards, no toothpick needed. My box has no buttons, that's all there is.

Personally I wouldn't want a boot time selector. It's so easy to just unplug a SD/ USB, a selector would just slow the boot process for no real advantage I can see.

I guess we've gone off topic now anyway, these things should probably be in the General Discussion thread as they're not 007 specific.

You just never know, you might want Android in the future, for apps like skype?

I think Libreelec runs pretty fast from sd, so why get rid of android?

    Just my opinion

    ;)

I'd like to +1 this. I was so infatuated with getting LE onto NAND I didn't see the wood for the trees ;)

I ditched the USB stick for a class 10 SD and I think it's running faster than the internal NAND anyway, also I have the original Android internally if I need it. It's really a win win but sometimes this needs pointing out by the community - thanks to all :)

Vodkaneat It will freeze if partition table is different than in device tree. You can try using gxbb_p200_1G_100M_RealtekWiFI device tree, although it might also not work.

kszaq, thanks, I gave it a go, from live USB this dtb also works (LAN & Wifi), I don't really understand how the gxbb_p200_1G_mxq_pro_4k.dtb and gxbb_p200_1G_100M_RealtekWiFi.dtb can both run my wifi but there you go :) However, installtointeral results in no boot logo and a frozen box.

So gxbb_p200_1G_mxq_pro_4k.dtb at least gave me a boot logo after nand install, but that's as close as I can get lol

If it is partition table related, I can burn V005 back on and provide any info that might help - I've noticed fdisk isn't available, is there anything I can run that might help?

When 005 came out i did a NAND install.

The device wont go into recovery at all, so if i use the NAND install method it just loads to what ever is installed on NAND.

If I use the 005 LIVESD it boots from the SD Card and loads it correctly.
If I use the 007 LIVESD it sticks at the "bios" / s905 splash.

No recovery will load, whether from NAND, SD or any other method!

Just to reaffirm I've used every single dtb on the website that have been published for 006 and 007!

latic, I found this firmware runs my mxq pro 4k well: download-android-lollipop-5-1-1-stock-firmware-mxq-pro-tv-box-2-4.html

I use the USB Burning tool to put that on and get the box back to factory android. This should get the toothpick method working, or you can use androids firmware update feature to select the zip. As mentioned above, I can't get nand install working with 007, kszaq said it was probably the partition table on this device.

    Hey,

So ya flash back to the original firmware, which gets toothpick working again and then go ahead with the SDCard install?

I've got the rest of my boxes flashed, just got a stubborn MXQ PRO 4k that gets to the boot screen if you have the "Live" SD card in when turning on OR if i try to boot to SD Card with the NAND install version, it just ignores it.

Yea I've got a MXQ PRO 4k also. It will run v5 but this new v7 I can't get onto nand. A bootable USB v7 runs great, installtointernal leaves me frozen on the boot logo same as you. I've gone back to v5 for now.

Think I've got a similar problem to some others here. I've got a generic MXQ Pro 4k which has been running version 5 (which is great BTW, thanks kszaq).

I made a bootable USB of version 7 using gxbb_p200_1G_mxq_pro_4k.dtb and it works great, LAN, Wifi, everything it seems. Now I SSH in an run installtointernal, all seems OK but when I reboot, the box just hangs on the boot logo.

I've tried other dtb's but that's worse, not even a logo on reboot.

Kodi runs a lot slower from the USB, I would really like to put this on internal storage, has anyone any pointers for me?
