Alpha 5 has been released and it's supposed to fix the subtitles issue.
It has... Hurrah....
update - subtitle not working with alpha4. But YT videos are
Have rebooted, sign-in & out few times, even uninstalled alpha3 and did fresh alpha4 install.
RPi4, LE10, Matrix 19.1
alpha4 fixed YT subtitle issue with alpha3.
i'm yet to test it.
Can confirm with alpha3, buffering issue is resolved, tested 720p videos for few hours. Subtitles not working.
Kudos to the devs.
Thanks, that thread did not show up when searching "youtube playback" before i made this post.
I'm facing frequent buffering issues with youtube on LE10, RPi4 for the past 2weeks. 720p videos are almost impossible to play and even for 360p buffering happens. Strangely no issues with primevideos, disney, NHK and even Chrome can play youtube 720p videos on RaspberrypiOS without buffering !!!.
i've tried resetting yt add-on settings to defaults and even did sign-out and sign-in.
I've set youtube cache to 100mb.
Tried with/without input streamer.
Anyone else having issues with youtube lately ?.
Please provide a full debug log.How to post a log (wiki)1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging2. Restart Kodi3. Replicate the problem4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)
use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
here it is.
Audio playback is not smooth, audio will play without any issues for almost 2mins, pause for 1-3sec and resume. This is the same for all plugins, including low bitrate stations. I have installed slyguy's Radio AU, Radio NZ, and Radio plugins such as Radio and Art Concert plugins from Kodi Repo. For Radio_de, i tried enable/disable "use http option" and even tried un-install with settings, deleting from .kodi/addons/packages, rebooted and installed.
arteconcert-2.0.1
radio_de-3.0.6
At the same time no issues with internet connectivity, i can watch YT, NHK, Amazon, Disney, etc.... without any buffering.
Is there any other setting/dependency/plugin that is causing radio buffering ?.
Thanks,
Local language titles are not properly displayed on youtube. I have installed few local language fonts on .kodi/media/Fonts. But titles only show English characters. How to fix this ?.
Thanks,
RPi4 cannot hardware decode 4K H264 media......
...... If you can change the camera to use HEVC instead of H264
Many thanks. If it were possible we could play 4K files directly from RPi to BlackMagic production switcher - without software encoding.
Will check if the camera can save as HEVC or any other format.
.....but you can add video extensions in Kodi's advancedsettings.xml file.
The RPi4 does not have hardware acceleration built-in, .......
Thanks, after adding mxf file in settings file, it is getting listed, still unable to play.
Somewhere i read omxplayer can be compiled with hardware acceleration for RPi4, can such players be installed on LibreELEC(build on debian, copy the executable to Matrix) ?. Or anyone already done pre-built binary for RPi4 ?.
Thanks,
I'm unable to play 4K .mxf file(711MB, 39secs) form a Panasonic 4K camera on RPi 4 8GB, rev 1.4, running LibreELEC 10.0.0. I have tried the same with Raspberry PI OS, VLC just displays blocks of colour/scrambled video.
On Matrix, this file is not even visible on Video Player or File Manager , but other files like .zip are !!!.
Can RPi 4 handle this format ?. Do i have any options to play these types of files on Pi ?.
Thanks,
