Is it not possible to delete Mediafiles in LibreElec 10 ?

    For example:

    1. I've got a Video named "Video1.mkv" on my USB-Stick

    2. It' shown under "Videos" -> "Files" -> "Name of my USB-Stick" and plays without any problems.

    3. If I do Right-Click on the the Name of the Video (Video1.mkv), a Menu pops up and I can chose between a few options like

    "Play"

    "Add to Favorites"

    "Rename"

    and others.

    4. In LibreElec 9.2.8 there is also the Option "DELETE" in this Menu

    5. These Option is missing in the Menu of LibreElec 10 - Why is this so ?

Why did you remove this option ? :cursing:

This is another reason for me to stay with LibreElec 9.2.8  and not to upgrade to Version 10.

I own a lot of h264/10Bit Anime Videos and they play fine without any Problems on my PC with an Asus EAH5570 Graphic Card and LibreElec 9.2.8.

    (I've disabled all the VAAPI (MPEG / VC-1 / VP8 / VP9 and HEVC) Hardware-Acceleration)

On my Raspberry Pi3 with LibreElec 9.2.8 they got Problems like mentioned and shown above with strange Colors or a blocky Picture.

By the way this Thread should be about LibreELEC itself and not about technical problems with it.

So LibreELEC (Matrix) 10.0.1 is out now, and if I look around here on this Board I see again a lot of Problems with this Release.

And it seems these Problems can't be fixed the easy way.

Firts you must send in some "Error-Logs" to this Board and if there is a Solution for the Problem you can't simple fix it "with the switch of a Button", no, you must edit some "INI"-Files or open a "Console" and type in some cryptic Linux commands.

    So I asked myself:

Why should I update from LibreELEC 9.2.8 to 10.0.1 ?

What is "better" in 10.0.1 ?

    * I don't want to watch 4K/HDR Movies and I don't want to stream anything (for example from the Internet or a NAS)

    * I want to watch Movies which are stored on an external HDD connected to an USB-Port of my Raspberry Pi 3 or my PC.

    * 1080x1920 Full HD is enough for me and it works fine.

    * Passthrough of the HD-Audio like Dolby Digital or DTS over HDMI to my Sony Soundbar works also without giving me any Troubles.

    * I want to listen to MP3 Files and this works fine too, even over the 3.5 Jack connected to my Stereo System and with the Yatse Remote Control.

So why should I change a running System and Update to a Software which gave others a lot of Problems and Trouble and will give me maybe some too ?

Previous kodi used a firmware side driver for audio. The firmware has the ability to split the audio and drive two sinks.

Now, we've moved to an open source arm side driver for hmdi audio (which is better in many respects, including supporting HBR passthrough on Pi4), but the firmware code for splitting audio is not involved.

It could be possible to implement this through other means external to kodi (like pulseaudio), but I don't know how to do that.

Well, another reason for me to stay away from LibreElec 10 on Raspberry Pi.

I'm running LibreELEC 9.2.8 on an Raspberry Pi.

The Pi is connected with a HDMI-Cable to my Soundbar and from there with another HDMI-Cable to my TV.

Also it is connected to my Stereo-Audio-System with a Cable put into the 3,5mm Jack.

The Audio goes out over HDMI and the 3,5mm Jack at the same time, I don't have to switch anything.

So when I want to watch a Movie, I turn on the Pi, the Soundbar and the TV.

I've got the Sound from the Soundbar and the Picture on the TV using the HDMI connection.

When I want to listen to Music (MP3 or FLAC) I don't need a TV, so I turn on the Pi and my Stereo-Audio-System and control the Pi over my Smartphone with the "Yatse" Remote Control App.

The Audio comes from the 3,5mm Jack of the Pi an goes through a cable to the Stereo-Audio-System.

And now you're telling us that this setting is no longer possible because of a new Audio Driver ?

    This is so stupid.

Why should I turn on my TV, my Soundbar or my 5.1 Speaker-System when I only want to listen to Music ?

    @Cehraphaim

Did you connect your TP-Link Stick to an USB2 or an USB3 Port of your PC ?

If it was USB3 than try an USB2 Port.

On my PC I'm still running LibreELEC 9.2.8 and got an AVM FRITZ!WLAN Stick AC860 (which is USB3).

At first I was connecting the Stick to an USB3 Port and it didn't work, but after I put it in an USB2 Port it works fine.

I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3B (not the "+" Model) with LibreELEC 9.2.8 and everything (Watching Movies, Listen to MP3 Music, Streaming Videos from the Internet) works fine except for one thing that bothers me:

The Pi 3B couldn’t decode some of my Videos which are 10 Bit or H256 encoded.

Must be a Problem with the Hardware (not powerful enough), because these Videos play without an Problems on my PC, running LibreELEC 9.2.8.

    Than I thought to myself:

Why not by a Raspberry Pi 4B ?

It has a more powerful CPU than the Pi 3B and the GPU is more powerful too and can Hardwaredecode H265 and H264 Movies.

    I didn't own a 4K-TV, so a Full-HD Resolution is just fine.

Because of that, the combination of a Raspberry Pi 4B and LibreELEC 10.0 must be work great for me.

But then I came around this Board an noticed how much Trouble and Problems People get with this combination even if they do some simple an basic things like connecting their Pi to the TV or play some simple (non 4K) videos.

So it makes me wonder where the problem is:

Is it the Pi 4B which has some "faulty" or "tricky" Hardware ?

Is it LibreELEC 10.0 ? Was it put out to quick and has still some serious bugs ?

Or a the people to stupid to use this combination of Hardware and Software ? (Personaly I didn' think so)

I can get over the problem with the few 10 Bit or H256 encoded Videos I got and which will not play on the Pi 3B.

So for now I will stay with this Machine and LibreELEC 9.2.8 and wait till all the Problems with the Raspberry Pi 4B and LibreELEC 10.0 will be fixed because why should I change a running System to another one that gives me Problems and Trouble ?

    Hi Inix,

before you spend some Money on a HiFiBerry I suggest you should try the following:

    1. Your Nubert Speaker have an ARC-HDMI Port.

On Page 9 in the German Manual to your Speakers it says that CEC and HDMI ARC on your TV must be enabled to made the HDMI-Port of the speakers work.

The Raspberry didn't have an HDMI-ARC Port, but did you enable the CEC-Funktion in LibreELEC/Kodi ?

I don't use CEC but as far as I know you can find the Setttings under "System" -> "Input" -> "Peripherals"

    2. Did you use the right HDMI-Cable ?

Don't use any Adaptor from Micro-HDMI to HDMI - Use a cable like this (from your screenshot I assume that you are from Germany or another German speaking County, so this is a Link to a German Webpage)

offizielles Raspberry Pi 4 Micro HDMI Kabel, schwarz, 2,0m | offizielles Raspberry Pi 4 Micro HDMI Kabel, schwarz, 2,0m | HDMI Kabel & Adapter | Kabel & Adapter | Raspberry Pi Computer | Raspberry Pi | BerryBase

I know you did this before, but please try again:

    3. Connect the HDMI-Port right beside the USB-(Power)-Port (HDMI 0?) to your TV

    4. Connect the other HDMI-Port (HDMI 1?) to your Nubert Speakers.

    5. This is very important:

    a) First turn on your Nubert-Speakers

    b) Than turn on your Raspberry Pi4

    c) And at last turn on your TV

    6. Now check if you can select your Speakers in LibreELEC/Kodi

    7. If you can't get a Picture on your TV or can't select your Speakers turn off the Raspberry, the TV and the Speakers

    8. Switch the HDMI-Cables - The Port beside the USB-(Power)-Port to your Nubert-Speakers and the other one to the TV.

    9. Now go back to Point 5 & 6 above

    10. If this doesn't work either why not try an older Version (9.2.8) of LibreElec ?`

Yon can find the Download here:

    LibreELEC Raspberry - LibreELEC

    11. If this doesn't work too you can still buy a HiFiBerry

    Oh, and by the way:

The Nubert "nuBox" A-125 is no "Soundbar".

    It's only a pair of Stereo-Speakers with an HDMI-Input.

Look here (sorry it's in German)

    Aktivlautsprecher nuBox A-125 von Nubert

They only work with a "PCM" Stereo Signal (Highest level is 24 bit / 192 kHz)

(You can read about that in the Manual)

They can't handle things like Dolby Digital, Dolby True HD DTS or Atmos.

So in the Kodi "Audio Settings" you have to disable "Passthrough" and set "Number of Channels" to "2"

Just installed LibreELEC 9.97.1 (AMD / Intel / nVidia Version) and got a Problem.

The WLAN works, but, I can't set the "Wireless Regulatory Domain" to Germany.

If I go to "Settings" -> "LibreELEC" -> "Network" -> "Wireless Regulatory Domain" and set it to "Germany" the next Time I turn my PC on it's back to "Not Set (Default)".

The strange thing is, if I set it (for example) to "United States (US)" (or any other Country) it doesn't turn back to "Not Set (Default)" !

So why doesn't it work for Germany in Version 9.97.1 ?

In the old Version (9.2.6) this works fine.
