Solved my iptv dilemma. I simply added my Bloomberg+ m3u8 as strm then saved in Favorites.

For giggles this morning (Working from home today) I tried updating another of my Generic.x86_64-10.0.4. too 10.95.1 and it killed my HDHR PVR client. Rebooted pvr came back but live tv stream from hdhr boxes was unwatchable. Installed 10.4 fresh from usb, after about 1min live tv stuttered as if there were network drops. Went down hill from there...
Just finished same steps as before, Debian then 10.4, runs smooth as silk again. Just wish I could figure out iptv simple client...some reason I can't wrap my head around Phunkyfish steps.

My other devices (Architecture?) Pi's & Windows laptop's didn't seem effected, only hw running Generic.x86_64-10.0.4. (Repo Unreachable)
Haven't yet addressed IP simple client.

Had this problem recently on one of my generic mini PC's, Celeron N4020 . Updated from 10.0.4 too 11. For whatever reason (Guessing some hardware ghost) it lost connection on LibreELEC repo. After re installing 10.0.4 from fresh usb stick same issue.
Using Rufus I installed Debian 11, worked fine. I then tried 10.0.4 again and everything worked again. except simple iptv pvr client.

Was regarding CEC support within generic Intel builds. I know see it is not possible after reading Kodi CEC Wiki, seems I will be sticking with RPi4's for my hardwired locations using AVR's.
Thank you, case closed.

Generic_86/64 Pulse8 CEC support
Feel I already know the answer. https://forum.libreelec.tv/core/user/19038-heitbaum/
No other OS but LibreELEC
Mini PC Celeron N4020 DDR4/64GB HDMI 2.0
Mini PC > TV > AVR... equals two remotes.
Have been spoiled using pi4's. RPI > TV > AVR, equals one remote, on/off, sound, navigation, TV apps, sleep timer, screen off, auto on
Thank you

I read that Bose 900 has an optical audio in?
HiFi Berry DAC Digi hat boards area the perfect solution in this case.

I started looking for RPi replacements/backups.
I found this $129 mini N40 pc from Coofun, Intel Celeron N4020. After wiping out Windows and installing LibreELEC, I'm using a Dell 4k monitor @ 2560x1440p & din 3.5mm for audio out, an LG soundbar. ARC works, but my soundbar doesn't passthrough anything above 1080p. TV shows (1080/720/480) from HDHomerun boxes look crisp, all the IPTV 2160p channels look amazing. Using a WeeChip remote.
Still got to test with my TV's (LG WebOS) ARC/CEC with dedicated AVR's. (Not holding my breath)

There's an app for mobile devices that allows rebooting.

Hi,
I have been using kodi/libreelec with wifi for some time but as it sometimes lags I decided to try a wired connection instead. However when I try to change connection type the eth0 just "blink" idle and then disappears and then returns later one just to disappear again. Anyone that knows what this could be?
All cables between switch and rpi are cat6 (approx. 15m in total), it works just fine if I connect a 10m cat5e directly between the switch and the rpi. Is there a maximum lenght of ethernet cables that the rpi can handle? I plugged my laptop into the "port" in the wall and it works great, pings both internally and externally without any lost packages.
All support is appreciated.
For reference. I have this floating setup consisting of Pi 3b (27" computer screen) with LibreELEC 9.2.7 connecting over WiFi 40+ feet fromUbiquiti AP. Live TV works without any lag.

From MCE, WMC, XBMC, building HTPC's, TV/internet providers implementing DRM from clear/unencrypted QAM. Adding to our already complicated hardware choices ARC & CEC also play an important roll.
Selecting a TV manufacture has also become an increasingly important factor too. It's not enough taking into account ARC, CEC, OS, but does the TV allow HDMI passthrough without disabling CEC. LG's had this issue before releasing the most recent update.
My Pi's (9.2.7) have become as important as my HVAC.
Service provider for TV/internet: FiOS/Frontier (Netgate 1100 firewall/router + Ubiquiti access points).
TV signal distribution: 4x HD Home Run Primes w/ rented Cable Cards.
For viewing 4k/HDR content I just let the TV streaming apps handle it. My TV's consist of Hisense Android & LG's WebOS chosen for compatibility with Yamaha AVR's and of course Pi's. Including my use of Pi HiFi-Berry hat-boards w/ TOSLINK 9" touchscreens.
Most importantly, LibreELEC.
Select your hardware based on your other needs.
