seems to be better at least.
It worked with the 720 line.
Thank you

I have a new Rpi5 and tried to install LE12
On an old TV connected via HDMI-A1, the display is not usable.
First I see the LibreElec Logo in a normal size, then after a second or so the DIsplay changes and the Logo is displayed only partially and much bigger (like in a lower resolution).
After a second it changes back to normal size and the above behaviour starts again.
The same setup on a different TV (way younger)) everything works fine.
WIthout an SD-card I can see (on the old TV) the diagnostic lines including EDID=okay
AND: sometimes the old TV shows a message 1920x1080i (but it comes from the TV)
Any solution available
negative. Just plugged the new Rpi5 with the same cbale in another TV set
Took me a bit of time to try:
The new setup works on a different TV using HDMI.
Back to the old TV same problem:
The image looks for a part of a second fine, then the resolution seems to change (I can read "Libr" in the reight lower corner, but the letters seem to be way bigger than normal - factor 4 or 5?)
Can I control the way how HDMI chooses resolution?
The TV should have 1920x1080
My fresh installation on a brand new RPi5 sucks.
At the first boot, I can see this boot screen which changes resolution in 1-2s, is really blurry and almost not readable.
The same HDMI-cable worked on a RPi 4
Any ideas ?
WIth the latest beta, watching TV on the separate TVHeadend works fine; but nevertheless the TV-guide does not get updated.
After rebooting, the TV-guides seems to be fine, but a few days later the TV-guide is empty.
What is wrong ?
My first attempts with LE10b were bad. i am using a Rpi4B. Before, there was running LE 9.2.6 on the same RPi
I did not see any picture while or after booting.
I saw only for a short moment this coloured square flashing once - then black screen or the TV complained about no signal
Finally, I had success by adding a video= line to the cmdline.txt
In opposite to the posting here, I had to modify this video= command with a "50" at the end instead of "60"
Surprinsingly, with LE 9.2.6 I did not have these problems.
Now, i have a picture, but I think white letters are partially a bit "blueish"
Can I improve it? Is there a way to find out which resolutions my TV accepts?
My TV is an old Loewe.
But for me, HDMI was the solution of thias magic problem that some VGA settings work whiel others are not.
Nevertheless, the LE Beta seems to run pretty good.
Thank you.
It does not work with any method.
Upgrade does not work and making a SD-card from scratch also not.
With the upgrade method at least, I saw a picture for a short moment. With a SD-Card new - nothing
These days, i did an update with the upgrade-function form previous 9.2.6 ti LibreElec 10.0
The upgrade-process was fine, but after the last restart, I saw only this coloured square on screen, then nothing .
I can ping and ssh my LibreElec, but stilll no output to screen. I am using HDMI
