I’ve been checking my TV settings and to the best of my knowledge it does not have any refresh rate specific settings. I can make 24 hz look right by changing the UHD colour settings, but then it messes up the input from other sources. Still strange that 4k 50 hz requires different settings than 4k 24 hz… Is that how it’s meant to be from a Libreelec perspective?

When running at 4K/UHD or 1080p/HD at 50 Hz or above, the colours are displayed correctly with proper black. However, when changing framerate to 24Hz or lower, the colours look washed out and the blacks are dark grey. It looks almost like I turned on limited colour space (which is not on).
This happens both when I switch framerate in GUI or start a movie with 24 fps or lower. It also happens when playing HDR content.
I have also tried the latest nightly with same results.
Debug logs here: http://ix.io/4pUt
Log files are recorded while switching from 4K 50 Hz to 24 Hz and back again in System settings.
Running latest Kodi on Windows 11 on the same machine works fine, no colour problems there.

I am currently running KODI 20 on Windows 11 on an Intel NUC Frost Canyon Tall I3-10110U. In Windows it plays back HDR content (UHD Bluray rips) just fine. I have wanted to use LIbreelec instead of Windows so I tried LE 11 Beta (10.95.1). I have turned on the HDR option in the settings but the output is not switched to HDR when playing HDR content. Otherwise the settings in Kodi for windows and Libreelec are set the same.
Are the any other settings I need to check to get HDR to work?

Same here: Still crashes on profile switch x86 generic, LE10b3. However, it has changed a bit from LE10b1 as I now can see the main menu of the profile I switch to for a second or two before it restarts.

I have the same problem both on an old'ish Intel NUC and a new RPI4 - cannot switch profiles - it just crashes. Crashlog from RPI4 here: http://ix.io/2Uo1
I have Kodi 19 running on a couple of windows boxes and profile switching works fine there. -
Thanks ghester. Have considered transcoding, but since I have several other devices that can play the files just fine I'd rather not do that and instead keep the original quality. Do you know if there are any planned improvements ongoing, or is this a not a priority given the limited use of VC-1?

Hi,
just installed LibreELEC 10 beta (9.95.1) on my RPI4 (clean install). HDR and HEVC playback seems to work fine. However, I have a few movies using VC-1 (some interlaced, some not) and a lot of frames are dropped causing severe stuttering (sometimes it seems to drop more than half the frames). I see that decoding is done in SW (ff-vc1-drm_prime (SW)) and one CPU core is constantly utilised 98 - 100%.
Is there anything I can do to make VC-1 files playable on the RPI4? I see some older threads discussing this but I haven't found a solution anywhere. BTW, the same movies play back fine on an Intel NUC using LibreELEC 9.
