Hey I've been going round in circles, as in the title I am trying to get a raspberry pi 3b+ (which is rumoured to support usb boot) to boot from an SSD, it might work briefly but then nothing, I have successfully managed to get raspbian booting from the SSD. But this is ment to be a little media box for my children so a nice simple Kodi interface is needed.

Is there anyway to get this to work, booting from the SD card and then switching over to the SSD

I've also had this problem, I have set up two Raspberry Pi 3's for my kids and they have no problems playing VC-1, yet my RPi-4 drops alot of frames, I know its ment to be powerful enough to play VC-1 without the codec but I would prefer to spend a few quid and know it is just going to work
