I have a external SSD USB; Netac 256 GB USB SSD. But the LibreELEC USB-SD Creator (v 1.4) does not recognize it as an USB stick.. Any idea's how to fix this? I tried formatting the USB SSD to NTFS, FAT32, EXT4, but that does not seem to help...

Oeff that's a big read...but worth it hopefully, cos getting this to work via WireGuard would be the best solution by far! Thanks, I did not realize WireGuard was already available on LE 🎉

Hi all,
I'm spending more time now at my girlfriends house. To connect to my Synology NAS (older model Synology NAS (DS214+), so no Docker options) at my own house, I have configured WireGuard on my MicroTik RB5009 router. Then I connect my Win 11 laptop to the TV and then I enable WireGuard client on my laptop. Via this way, I have access to my complete network at home incl the Synology NAS.
Another option: I have enabled OpenVPN server on my Synology NAS. So then, again I connect my laptop to the TV at my girlfriends house, I enable OpenVPN Client on my Win 11 laptop, and I have acces to my NAS (not to my complete network via this route, but good enough to at least reach my files on my NAS). But the whole laptop-connecting-to-tv-thing feels very 1998.... I have a Rpi4 with LibreELEC at home, so I'm familier with this. I just bought a Rpi5, to be used at home with the Nightly Builds. The Rpi4 can then be used for the TV at my girlfriends house.
So, what I would like to know, if I connect a Rpi4 with LibreELEC to my girlfriend's TV at her house;
1a) what are the options to connect to the Synology NAS sitting on a different location?
1b) out of these options, what is the best option? (most secure, stable f.e)
Thanks for the help in advanced.

hi all,
I have a strange issue, somehow I managed to break my RSS FEED, using the Add-on "RSS Editor", and I'm not sure how to fix it although the error message does give a nice hint.
I'm using LE 9.2.6 on a RPi4 (4GB version), on a 32GB Adata MicroSD-card. I would like to have the RSS FEED back up and running if possible. I have already tried removing the re-installing this add-on, but that did not help. Even after reinstalling this add-on, it's still broken.
The error-message: RSSFEEDS.XML
"RssFeed.xml was either not found in the system, or does not contain parsable XML.
Try deleting it from your userdata folder and restarting XBMC."
Great, so first step is to delete the "RssFeed.xml" file from the userdata folder. Easy peasy right? But if I connect to Micro-SD card to my Window 10 PC, I can't find the "userdata" folder.
Probably because of Windows vs Linux filesystem incompatibility...? Or Hidden Folders? Or both?
Could someone help me in the right direction how to solve this? Either via hooking up the Micro-SD card to Windows 10, or via SSH. I'm not really an expert on the Linux commands via Putty via SSH, but with a bit of help I can manage. Fyi, In the meanwhile, I did upgrade (or is it update?) to the latest stable EEPROM via RPi OS (vcgencmd bootloader_version --> Dec 11 2020).
Or maybe there is an easier way to fix this RSS FEED error?
