    ok, went with generic-legacy and everything is working again...

    btw, any chance to have buildbot build DEVICE=Generic-legacy too? :)

    I see latest nvidia drivers support some drm, but i guess that the sentence 'Buffer allocation and submission to DRM KMS using gbm is not currently supported' means it's a no go for now... btw, latest nvidia drivers aren't included at all in plain generic, i tried to force the inclusion ( adding nvidia to /projects/Generic/options) but the result was that kodi tried to load but crashed with '

  • no work with x86 nightly

    the x86 nightlies seem not able to initialize video (at least on nvidia)

    i'm now running 10.0.1 and it works (i have the xrandr line in the log and definitively works), but the nightly just crashes and reboots without listing any video mode and without showing anything on screen

    if needed, i have the failed logs, please help

    that's because the nightly is built from 29069b3e7ff8b504865673f36a5b179422af05a9 which is just one or two commits ahead of the working build... try with tomorrow nightly and it will work (i hope :) )

  • nightly builds not working with nvidia?

    ok, I am a long time user of kodi and libreelec and, these times, didn't update very as often as I used to in the past (last version I had installed was from September 26, I guess), anyway i wanted to go to the latest and saw it didn't boot (fluxbox not starting) and saw that the nvidia driver was segfaulting.

    As i like to try to solve things for myself, and as i had no older nightly on the server, i tried to build LE and can confirm that latest is segfaulting and that the latest working build is d284214 (the one preceding the migration to K5.10 and Nvidia driver 455.45.01, from December 19)

    The next try i'll do will be to build latest with nvidia 450.80.02 to see if it works, but should it work please revert the change, as 455 crash, at least with my GeForce GT 1030, will let you know
