I tried that option, but it didn't resolve the problem.

Finally I installed libreelec from scratch by writing the image on an SD card,

and now everything works again.

Ever since (I believe) LibreELEC 9.2.3 there is hardware support for HEVC encoded video in Kodi on my Raspberry Pi-4

Playing HEVC works with all my video files.

A week ago I tried newer builds from popcornmix to find out about new features.

After some time, I reverted back to 9.2.6 by "upgrading" within Kodi's LibreELEC tab.

That went OK I thought, but now it appears that I cannot play any HEVC video anymore,

it crashes immediately in Kodi, I guess it has to do with the installation of the popcornmix build.

Anyone has a idea how to properly revert back to the situation where I am able to play HEVC in hardware ??
