I'm trying to get the latest 905x build up and running on my box (Bqeel 2GB/16GB M9C box) and when I have burned the latest build to a new SD card, I can't see the dtb file anywhere. Is it supposed to be in the default 905x download? If not, does anyone have enough experience with this box to recommend the correct dtb file? I've tried the one for 2GB, but box won't boot correctly/completely when I issue the 'update reboot' command.

I appreciate any help anyone might have!

PGPfan It should say LE, I copied instructions from my OE thread at FreakTab.

You should download that file and copy it to SD card in addition to files for NAND installation. By doing so your box will boot recovery from SD card and not internal flash and this should prevent "invalid signature" error from appearing. Flashing to internal shouldn't brick the box as it replaces only kernel and system partitions - you will still be able to boot into recovery and flash a different firmware.

Ok, that makes complete sense. :) Kszaq, thank you for the information and more importantly for all the work you've done to bring these boxes to life! It is greatly appreciated!

I'm hoping to get some advice from someone who may have come across this before. I am trying to flash the latest build on to NAND (SD is working great) but I come across 'invalid signature' errors. I checked the FAQ but I am confused as to what it is saying to do when it says the following:

Quote

Q: I tried to flash LE to NAND and I'm getting "invalid signature error". What should I do?
A: Flash OE in TWRP or download recovery.img from here and place it on your SD card.

OE in TWRP? I assume this was cut and pasted from Openelec forum, but what is TWRP?
Secondly, if I d/l the recovery.img that is linked and flash that to SD card, is it saying to just boot from this - or to flash from this? If I flash the recovery.img is there a chance I will brick my device since it does not specify which devices the .img file is for?

Thanks for any help!

Check LibreELEC for dl links and read up on how to boot from sd card too. Try the hd18q sd builds and start with the latest release 7.0.2.5 [emoji4]

Thanks kiwi-man, that works perfectly! Now to get the courage to flash the NAND, instead of running from SD card. Many thanks to kszaq and everyone else that worked to make this possible!! You guys are awesome! I will be making a donation this week after I get paid - am beyond broke after an unexpected timing belt failure in my wife and I's only car.....GRRRRR!!

Hi Everyone, newbie to these boxes so although I did search and read through all this thread I'm still not entirely sure what librelec build I need for my box.
I'm not sure what brand of clone it is, but is all black and says MQX on the top. The remote is not the rounded one that I have seen. When I opened it up, I could not identify the wireless card (though I will run it via ethernet cable), but the labels read as follows:

S805-V1.2 20150520
a decal that reads "S805-D DL ( ) MMI ( ) 2016-1-7" with check marks in parenthesis
HD180_V1.2 2015/05/09

If anyone could please recommend a good, working build (and maybe a d/l link ) I would GREATLY appreciate the help!
Thanks!
