Yes, there's another SPDIF optical output that likes 3.5mm jacks. They are used on cheaper TV box. I tried to attached a photo of mine with this post but couldn't.

Yeah I looked at mine earlier. 1GB was reversed for the system and I think it was about 11.5GB for the storage, I cant remember if that was the total or the amount left though. I can check tomorrow.
Thanks a lot! I'd be grateful if you could check and let me know for sure. 11.5GB is enough for most 1080p movies but not all. 1/2 GB more and it would make a difference.
EDIT: Btw, the SPDIF output seems different than the regular toslink connector. Is it still an optical out? I know there are different connectors on optical cables. Ones that look like 3.5mm jacks. Is that the one?

Hey, a bit OT but could you please tell me how much free space do you have on internal? I'm having issues writing and reading to external at the same time and I'm wondering if 16GB boxes have enough free space for what I want.
No idea, sorry. USB driver for Amlogic is not very capable. Try to not write to that drive while watching.Also, the USB driver for S905 and S905X is different so I'm unable to help you due to no S905X device.

I updated my Mini M8S II with your new build and I'm having issues with 1080p video + 5.1 Passthrough to a Receiver (SPDIF). I'm outputting to a 1080p TV btw.
I'm writing a 1080p movie to a USB 3.0 external HDD at about 11MB/s at the same time that I'm watching the movie. This should work fine as the HDD is more than capable. Anyway, everything's going fine for the first 5-10 minutes and suddenly the video starts freezing/resuming making it impossible to keep on watching. The buffer at this point is more than enough (I have half of the movie in the HDD by now) but it seems like it's buffering.
Any idea of what this might be? Is there any file I can provide to help you diagnose the issue?
Btw, I can't say if this happened with your previous builds since I didn't watch almost anything before.
Also, if I let it paused for a few minutes and then resume, the audio is completely out of sync. Don't know if that helps.

Any idea why writing speeds to a micro SD card formatted to ext4 are so unstable? It can go as high as 8-9MB/s (downloading) and then it goes down to 1MB/s just to go up to 3MB/s just to get down to 1.5 again and so on. This doesn't happen with a USB HDD.

update 1: Already used "installtointernal". I added a 64GB microsd card after that (before it was a 8GB card just as the internal flash size).
How do i make use of the new card now ? Mount it as /data ? I think /var/media/mmcblk1p1-mmc-APPSD_0x0000071d will not be used by kodi.
update 2: I formatted the 64GB card now as ext4 and then it is no longer recognized.
Update 3: The SD card slot is toast now. Good that the system is already installed internally.
What exactly does one need to do in order to install to the internal memory?
Also, any idea why was the SD card not being recognised? I'd only flash to internal to use my micro SD card as storage for Kodi so, if that doesn't work for some reason, there's no point in flashing to internal.
What was your SD card format before you formatted it to ext4?

Use USB Burning Tool to flash a stock img or custom ROM for your box (Android) with a USB A to USB A cable connected from your computer to your box.
