Cool, Thanxzz. but the pausing issue is with all the video's, I don't think this is related to VC1
In the latest nightly builds, the video playback freezes for an micro second and fast forwards to catch up..The audio stream continues as normal. Also the playback is pausing randomly like if the buffer ran out, but no log entry appears in the debug log it's just pausing.

I normally compiled libreelec with the latest master build of kodi. I removed a few patches while they are no longer needed in the master build. This proces worked ok until kodi moved on to ffmpeg 4.4 Alpha. So I assumed I needed to update the ffmpeg in libreelec as well 
Is there an easy way to update the ffmpeg-001-rpi.patch to work with ffmpeg 4.4-N-Alpha1 ?

Display MoreA1RFORCE1 also please test with buffermode 1 in advancedsettings.xml as described here RE: Nightly builds Rpi4 Audio passthrough TrueHD/Master HD not working (huge stutter) anymore - you might also get the warnings because your HDD or network share can't keep a sustained data rate (which is a lot more demanding for high-bitrate BR rips).

First movie (2180p) atmos 7.1 playing now for 20 min ,, looks promising!
- whole movie 2 audio glitches but no actual log entry appeared...

Great news, I will do some tests again ( first gona move all the movies to a new USB disk to rule this out)
changed it to "start/stop" Adjust display refresh rate still got the errors

Also I see an error regarding the readrate:
Readrate 4814000 is too low with 5128350 required (on usb 3.0 disk)

Just played a couple of true HD audio movies !! This fix seems to decrease the number off glitches
update:
- Hmmm after +/- 16 min of movie again a little stutter but a lot less..
- during the stutter the following entry appears in the logfile:
- after 25 min off movie the frequency of stutter increases
- restarted pi with debug log
- resumed the movie at 25 min
- now stutter begins after +/- 30 min .
