I'm having the same problems here. pip install doesn't work. Did you find a workaround or a way to authenticate?

I'm posting this here in case anyone struggles like I did.
I recently had to reformat my Win10 PC. This PC hosts all my content for my Pi4 LibreElec in the basement. I had things working previously but could only get it working with SMB v1 enabled.
After the reformat I struggled to get LibreElec to see my Win10 PC at all! I had set my PC up exactly as before, same drive names, same drive letters, same firewall/sharing settings, same IP etc.
In the end, what finally did it (and may be obvious to many) was using my computer name in place of IP. In other words smb://<computer name>/<share name>
Feel really slow for not having tried this earlier, but all's well that ends well. Hope this helps someone else as this isn't a solution I found in this forum anywhere. -
There's a thread already in place discussing Steamlink, but I'm not well enough versed in Linux to know if it's a packaged product running within Kodi or if it kills Kodi to run Steamlink.
