Did you try to change deinterlace?
Of course I didn't. Don't you see "beginner" tag of mine 
I'll try that and report back..

Smoothly in what way? mmal should be fine..I assume you r using a rpi
Some streams play like they're on fast forward (and without sound) with mmal while Omx plays them just fine.

Just wanted to thank you zomboided for this add-on and your hard work.
This is the only add-on that keeps me not upgrading to Matrix development builds :).

Omx Player causes this. With mmal everything works fine, but some of my hd streams only work smoothly with omxplayer. I'm in between two fires
