This issue appears to be the same as the one I mentioned. I built 9.2.0, and 9.8 (38764c8) and can verify that 9.2.0 doesn't work, and that 38764c8 does work after the TV gets turned on. It doesn't work after changing input source to something else then back to the TV though.
I intend to do a bisect to find the patch which caused this difference, hopefully I'll have something before the weekend. And perhaps it will also lead towards refreshing after changing input source too (though I admit to not fooling with Input/HDMI-CEC options to investigate).
BTW, nice build system. worked fine with Devuan 3.0.
I have very similare issue with my pineA64 plus.
CEC does not work on new 10. Builds not even official beta. As jernej said these are now using hw cec method.
So i have built a linux pc to build old images.
What i have found is:
An old image from 2020 aug 19. Has almost perfect working CEC. Even tv restart is fine.
The cec lib version is 4.0.5
One image from 2020 November CEC works until tv is restarted then the mentioned issue.
That image has CEC 4.0.7.
I have no idea how or is possible to build new image with that 4.0.5 CEC lib.
Or might be not that easy?

Both images use software CEC implementation... You can build addons yourself - just make sure that you checkout same sources.
On a side note, LE10 beta1 with Allwinner images was just released. I'm considering closing this topic and move towards one thread one issue style.
Yes all sw-cec works fine.
Ive tried new nightly and even beta1 and cec soes not work.
I dont know how to build addons so looks like i install the old 9.8 and maybe i find that pvr addon somewhere which installs.

What syao built for me cec works
LibreELEC-A64.arm-9.80-devel-20210309182253-b8ebd16-pine64-plus.img.gz
And any other 9.8 build has worked before.
I have found one more from 2020 november
LibreELEC-A64.arm-9.80-nightly-20201117-df2a079-pine64-plus.img.gz
This also works.
I would use it now but i cannot install the only 2 things i need Aeon nox silvo skin and simple iptv client.
Skin installs then fails to build main menu so im stuck need reflash.
Iptv client can't install due invalid structure.
Tried different versions i could find online no luck.

norberto_ Please test all 3 updates here: Index of /test/cec/ Hopefully at least one of them will work for you. All contain some CEC driver modifications.
Note that addons repo always targets latest nightly images only (they can be few days out of sync when Kodi is updated).
EDIT: Please provide output of dmesg for each update.

well it looks catch 22
syao's 9.8 image has working CEC but i cant install the kin i want and the simple iptv client addon. always throws error.
the 10 images no CEC and can install skin and iptv client from the built in repo.

No CEC issue in the log...
It just shows cec adapter starting and connecting but then does not connect anywhere.
Any suggestions what can i try or which direc5ion to dig?

CEC is working with your build as i thought.
Also initial setup went well.
I just need to install new skin and what i need manually as no repo. But hopefully it will be ok.

norberto_ I just tested CEC on Pine64 Plus and apart from one hickup, it works fine with my TV (LG B8).

What the hell is wrong with mine then.
It was working on 9.8 before updating to 10.
Ill pull the logs when i get home. I doubt i will be smarter from that but if you have time you might can take a look.

I could try to build one for you, I still have the docker setup I used before, but then you'd have to trust me to not put any malicious software in it. Let me know if you are eager to take the risk

I Can take the risk, but not pushing you.
I would like to figure out why the new version does not work. Probably the fact the CEC has been changed to HW fro SW as jernej said.
Ill wait for him as he will test on same board soon.
If you can point me to some guide how to compile i might do setup and try( just curiosity as ive never done that before).

My previous working build was more than few months old. Unfortunately i can't find any old builds on my drive.

AFAIK old images are deleted, but you can still rebuild from source

I don't even know how to đ and don't even have any setup atm for that. Where are the 10 sources?
So looks like waiting for a release which has working CEC.

Tried the new nightly 05. Same no CEC.

i have just updated my pine a64plus to the today image and CEC stopped working with samsung tv.
It was working with older image.
Any idea how could i fix?

I have done full reinstall from scratch.
Cec does not work.
