But how is your whitelist? Which hz?
And did you change. Config.txt for 4k 60hz

So we need to go to 9.2.0 to play 4k content without issues?
Try to check if you modem got 5ghz signal. If it does connect your pi with that ssid.
Check if your wifi channel is on auto or not in your modem.
Display MoreI've watched somme movies which had judder with MMAL other without-it.
After some more testing, I've had the most stable video viewing experience using the following set of settings:
Settings
Player
Adjust display refresh rate ALWAYS
Sync playback to display YES
Enable HQ Scalers above 50%
Allow hardware accel. MMAL YES
System / Display
White list - only All 1920x1080 resolutions (this will force upscaling in kodi when needed)
Preferred mode Same as Movies
System / Audio
Allow passthrough NO
(The bold settings seems to be the more influent)
what kind of tv you have?
What is your resolution in kodi?
Did you enable 4k 60 in your config.txt?
You did not whitelist 4k 23,98 24 50 59,94 60?
Pro Tip: if you click on the "magnifying glass" icon on this website you can search forum posts. If you do this and enter "Hyperion" you will find a lots of posts and threads. eg this one Hyperion addon does not work with inputstream.adaptive (Netflix etc.) with Pi4
Disabling hyperion works like disabling any other addon. Go to Addons->My Addons->All Addons->Hyperion and click on "Disable".
so long,
Hias
If there is no hyperion installed on kodi rpi4, do we need to whitelist ass well the refresh rates?
so long
Do you have 4K60 media? .. because 99% of people do not, and forcing it in config.txt results in higher power draw and other things. As nearly all 4K media is under 4K30 there is really no need to activate it.
in an another topic you wrote: to whitelist 23,97 24 50 59.94 and 60hz.
If you do not force the code in config file then you could not see the hz rates above the 30.
So these are two things
Could you show us your config.txt
It should be. It is an 4k hdr tv
I fixed my issue. Just Had put some refresh rates hz to whitelist and now it is not freezing anymore.
Display MoreHello,
recently I installed LE 9.2 from zero in two RPi4 1GB, and in a RPi4 4 GB.
In a first time, with a advancedsetting for the RPi3, in both RPi4 1GB, when I tried to play video streaming, after some minutes the SO freezes and restart is needed.
I changed the advancedsettings for this, more simple:
XML Display More<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <advancedsettings> <cache> <buffermode>1</buffermode> <memorysize>96119446</memorysize> <readfactor>20</readfactor> </cache> <airplayport>20</airplayport> <airtunesport>2</airtunesport> <enableairtunesdebuglog>true</enableairtunesdebuglog> </advancedsettings>
And I detected an important improve, and only freeze sometimes.
The other important information:
-Both RPi4 1GB have the basic heathsinks and the fan in slow mode
-The RPi4 4GB, with the same advancedsettins but adapted to 4GB RAM (changeging memorysize to 922746880), and with the same heathsinks, and another heatshink for the cpu (doble basic heathsink, one on top of the other) and the fan in slow mode, don't have any freeze, runs perfectly
Regards.
Hi,
i have rpi4 4gb and this one also freezes when I watch a movie. But I never changed anything in the advancesettings.
You have tips for me to try?
Did you open UHD COLOR in your tv settings for your hdmi port?
Hi,
I do have a Rpi 4. But Libreelec is installed on a Rpi 2 for now. How easy would it be to move my Libreelec setup from the 2 to the 4? It seems that just moving the SD card from one to the other is not enough? Would I lose anything if I export my Libreelec to settings from the GUI and import it back on the new one (parameters, add-ons,...)?
Thanks
make a backup in libreelec rpi2 and put that back in libreelec rpi4. there are some topics with steps how to do it
So you could watch 1080/50 with hyperion without any problems? And your kodi self screen resolution is? 4k or full hd?
