What device tree did you use and did you rename it properly to dtb.img?

Bluetooth needs to be switched on in the libreelec settings menu (scroll down).

I installed ***** and ***** build, after a few stalls and restarts, the only thing that isn't working now is my remote and the strange thing is that my LG TV remote can now control the box. Please note that these addons are banned by both the kodi developers and libreelec. See the forum rules that you agreed on: thread-2.html and also Official:Forum rules/Banned add-ons - Official Kodi Wiki

Please check the settings for cec, you find them in system-input, if I remember correctly.

Yes, the new frame rate switching is doing something there. I did not notice it on my tv, as I setup a 2-second delay after the switch. On my projector, I saw it blanking out two times.

I've tested the devel Version, picture quality, fr switch, gui speed is Best ever.
DD, DTHD, dts, dtshd is ok. Good news we got back dd+ (eac3 plus). Bad news we lost aac 5.1 as surround is mapped to the front.I tested the developer version with my avr today and can reproduce your findings. Multi-channel output shows is shown as "7.1" input by the avr, but sound is mapped to the front speakers only.
Passthrough works mostly, but dolby atmos is now displayed and decoded as TrueHD by the avr. All versions before sent the sound in a way for the avr to detect atmos.

The bootloader is responsible for waking up / powering on the box. To my knowledge, the remote codes for power on are hard-coded in the bootloader and are not configured.

Sorry, the only idea left would be to disable cec in the TV then.

Maybe both the internal and the external IR receiver decode some of your buttons? I tested an MCE remote with with usb ir receiver with my S905X, and it worked really well. CEC is now also very stable with my philips tv, and I switched to using the tv remote.

As a short-term workaround, please try to force the hdmi output to the RGB colorspace. I use both S905 and S905X with the latest dev version and did not see any problems with the picture. See thread-1129.html for reference.

The only way of debugging that I could think of would be connecting the serial port and use the uboot console.
-
It would most likely not boot at all (failing to initialize the ram). You can try it without harm on a microsd card.

For those with the ARC sound issues: Please setup audio as 2.0 (I know that this is counter-intuitive, put please bear with me) and allow ac3/dts passthrough.

If Kodi is configured 5.1 I barely can hear the voice of the characters of the TV show.. Just when I set it 4.1 works (But I'm sure there is one channel missing)
Also tested the Home Theatre just by itself (libreelec not running) with the sound test and all the speakers/channels are working.
What might be wrong?
Your connection between your box and your "home theater" is via the tv, which uses HDMI ARC to transfer audio. ARC can support 5.1 audio, but only DTS, AC3 and PCM, no "HD" audio, and also many tvs limit the type of audio transferred from other sources via ARC to 2-channel stereo (while they will happily pass 5.1 audio from the internal media player or cable/sat/terrestrial receiver).
You can try to setup kodi to 2-channel output, but allow DTS and AC3 passthrough and see what happens when you play a file with DTS or AC3 5.1 audio. It might just work.

Easy there, I don't want to update my almost perfectly running build with a test build. For testing I want to install it on an USB Stick and run it from there.Install any LE 8 image version on your empty stick/card, then update to the latest and greatest...

If you have an old or buggy bootloader on your box, updating the android installation might be helpful. As libreelec can be run from microsd card besides android, there is no real need to do the update first or later.
