I see you seem to be getting pretty good help from the tvh forum. I am not a member there, so as far as frequencies are concerned, I suggest Google.

From googling that seems an oldish machine. Also no HDMI port (just display port). Are you sure it supports digital audio out?

That's a ban.

do you need to map /etc/pihole ?

place either the tar or img.gz file in libreelec's .update/ directory and reboot.
-
The following are already present in libreelec
Code/usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b0-sdio.bin /usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b4-sdio.bin /usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b5-sdio.bin
What is not present is the .txt file, which by the look of it is some sort of parameters for how the device works. So all you should need is the txt file.
lspci will not show the device, as it is not connected to the pci bus (or the usb bus for that matter).

I managed to load an older version (6.something, I believe) of openelec onto my Goobang Doo M8 s812 box about a year ago and it's been working great, if a bit outdated now (kodi 16--see [ROM] OpenELEC for Amlogic-based TV boxes (M8, MXQ, TV110, MX2/G18) - FreakTab.com). After doing that I started researching the openelec project and discovered libreelec. It looks like libreelec builds referenced in this thread could offer an upgrade path for my somewhat dated hardware. But I'm kind of reluctant to give them a try given that the openelec build I'm on is working great and currently has all functionality I need from it. Any other users in this thread with a box like mine do an upgrade from an older openelec or libreelec version? Were you happy with the results? If so, I'll be interested to hear your input.
Well you can always go back to what works, no harm in giving a new version a try out.

Question about netflix on s905.
I have Gendo 1-10-2017 build, inputstream.adaptive 2.1.4.6 and also have widevine library installed.
When I play, eg, Star Trek: Discovery, (or in fact anything, but that is my "test") I get awful playback, lagging, video/audio way out of sync, jumpiness, press pause and it continues to play badly for about 30s before it actually pauses.
"O" tells me it is decoded by inputstream.adaptive.decoder (SW), 4 CPUS are maxed out (although jump about bit). Res is 1920x1080. Bitrate 3700 kb/s (+/-).
I am wondering why I don't get hardware decoding, which I am guessing is the problem.
Machine is a mecool pro+
What am I missing?

My ps3 bluetooth dvd remote keeps paired until the remote battery runs out, then it needs re-pairing.
I cannot track down the cause or fix, but I usually do the re-pair using kore as a remote (easier than getting out a keyboard!)

I would go with Ethernet, but I have a very small place and that would take up too much room.
cables really don't take any room, but can be untidy.

Libreelec is open source so you are welcome to create a pr for adding this add-on for c2

Besides this is your second thread with the same issue, please don't cross post.
