You can make ubuntu start into kodi, plenty of howtos.
However to amend libreelec, you need to recompile.
There are builds referred to on these forums with extra dvb drivers, try one of those first.
Also last time I compiled it was a lot less than 3 days.

XSqueeze works in LE, I installed it and had it working today.
-
Pretty sure you could run the kodi spotify addon on libreelec.
But to answer your question, Libreelec can act as an access point, see libreelec settings. Whether this works with your particular wifi dongle I can't say.
-
The build system won't rebuild the whole system, only the changed parts (well last time I built le anyway.)
-
Libreelec does not have apt-get. Apt-get is the debian package manager.
Have you followed post 5 above?

Kodi is not designed to work with a mouse. Just drop it and use a remote.
-
Ok, because I got pretty lost... (not really being a programmer, or even having much time )
-
sudo gives you root (admin) privileges. In kodi you are already root user, so just ignore the 'sudo' part.

I think the keyword is 'offline'.
You can buy real time clock chip addons for rpi.
You obviously have a lan though, why not setup your own ntp server? Point all the pis to it. Job done.

lrusak I am not overly sure what parts of the script are not ash compatible, if you can point me to the incompatible parts I'll see if I can rewrite.
Cheers.

Sapphire, cheap and very responsive, plenty of keys.
However I tried a universal remote recently and liked it, so may look to buy a harmony.
I also use kore, especially for entering text.

Yes he knows how to boot from usb on the hp, he can boot other oses on it from usb.
Try putting the le image on the other (debian) usb stick.
-
In llibreelec settings

Why? You don't need to actually run kodi on a server. All you need is samba or nfs.
-
Engineer using powerpoint? Lol guess it must be the marketer in you.
-
Sounds like possibly a skin issue, are you using estuary? Maybe skinning for le settings is incomplete. Try confluence and then you can switch back.

Very like my system in terms of functionality. My myth server is also my storage, and I have more clients, both squeeze and kodi. My kodi boxes are chromeboxes. No doubt your setup uses less power!
What did you use to draw that?

PS you might like to post on the kodi forums hardware showcase topic. Maybe with a few pics of the actual systems.
