Under Settings / Media / Videos (with Settings Level of Advanced) do you have "Extract video information from files", "Extract thumbnails from video files" or "Extract chapter thumbnails" turned ON? Try toggling all of those off.

Try upgrading to LE 9.0.2 . Kodi 18.2 could have a fix for this. Force update of video media info
