    Hi

I have dumped this using the comand journalctl | paste

There is a ton of one LE instance constantly querying the one that crashed as per below

    Code
    Sep 06 05:40:28 LibreELEC nmbd[824]: [2022/09/06 05:40:28.524455, 0] ../../source3/nmbd/nmbd_namequery.c:109(query_name_response)
    Sep 06 05:40:28 LibreELEC nmbd[824]: query_name_response: Multiple (2) responses received for a query on subnet 192.168.XX.XX for name WORKGROUP<1d>.

Otherwise the lines that indicate the crash and restart of the Kodi instance is:

    Hi

I am a long time Kodi user now for 15yrs plus. I currently have 4 instances in my house on various hardware but I am more and more frequently getting resets. Kodi locks up, goes to a black screen and restarts kodi. The activity at the time can be anything but our most comon use is Live TV, streaming Catchup TV or playing a LAN file. Generally the crash is not caused by any input of the controls, just while watching.

I keep thinking new versions will fix it but so far although some versions are more stable than others but I still get reboots.

I really want to get to the bottom of it as 4-5 restarts an evening is not ideal for a primary tv source. I have completly wiped and started new builds a few times and still no luck. I am really at a dead end. I have also tried a RPi4 and although its a little more stable still get reboots.

The only remaining cause could be network issues but the VM is the worst and its running on the Unraid server that hosts the files so althought I don't know the ins and outs of how a Bridged Network works on VM its the same machine as the files so shouldnt be.

Below is a brief on the setup.

    Local Infrastructure:

Unraid Server running dockers for TVHeadend and also NextPVR (tried both to see if one was the cause)

    TV Input from an HDHomerun

    Gigbit Network

Unifi Internet Gateway Managing DHCP, DNS etc

Local files played from Unraid Samba share

    Kodi Instance - VM:

Undraid VM of LibreElec running Generic.x86_64-10.0.2

    Nvidia GT710 Card

    Default Skin

Only addons are catchup tv style

Any help to try and poinpoint this would be great.

    Hi

I have a LE VM that is running the generic version on an Unraid Server with a Nvidia 710. Since version 9 kodi has started to reboot regularly. Its not a full reboot VM just a Kodi reboot. Sometimes its watching TV from my TV Headend server also on the Unraid Server or sometimes watching files from the Server. I can't seem to pinpoint it from the logs and been slowly tweaking things trying to find a solution. So if anyone can help it would be great as I would love this to be rock solid. I have tried all stable versions and currently trying 9.2.

We use it as our main TV and most nights over 3-4 hrs get 1-2 reboots

It crashed last night but only got to upload the files this morning

I saved the log a few nights ago so have uploaded the full crash log below

Gofile - File sharing platform, anonymous and free

The first two crashes were at the times below but there are several in this log all the same.

    18:20

    21:54

Great thanks for this, from your advice above I think I have pinpointed it to the weather addon.

Stopped the weather and it has been running for several hours with no reboots. Will keep an eye but may have solved it.

    Cheers

    Hi

I have a LE VM that is running the generic version. Its run great for several years. Version 8 is working great but 9 has kodi rebooting regularly. I can't seem to pinpoint it from the logs so if anyone can help it would be great. I have a feeling it might be an Nvidia thing.

The sometimes it automatically reboots and is only kodi rebooting not libreelec and other times is a freeze and need to reboot the VM.

I seem to get a hour to 2 some times between reboots

    Crash log attached
