Wifi and Ethernet deliver the same results.
Also, the other devices are connected via wifi as well without problems. So far I've tried a Windows 7 PC and the aforementioned Fire TV stick.
Local media work without problems.

Tried this with 2 different SD cards, unfortunately with the same result..
So far I tried the following addons (mostly German channels):
7TV - lists work, videos simply don't start playing and cursor returns to list
ARD Mediathek - buffering very slow, video stuttering
Dailymotion.com - works perfectly
Eurosport Player - slow buffering, scrolling and other input, video stuttering
MySpass.de - works perfectly
TV Now - lists work, videos simply don't start playing and cursor returns to list
YouTube - lists work, videos appear to start playing but nothing to be seen and sound plays for a few seconds, then cancels
ZDF Mediathek - lists work, videos simply don't start playing and cursor returns to list
All of these addons work perfectly fine on other devices without changing any of the settings (just like I tried with the RPi3).
Also, in general the system reacts very laggy most of the time while playing videos. Performance is much worse than an old PC with similar specs or even the crappy 1st generation Fire TV stick.
Videos via USB work.
Most addons I tried on RPi3 Kodi/LibreElec do not play videos correctly (general error message or stuttering playback).
I am using Kodi on other devices with the same settings without these problems.
Is there a generic codec or something else that needs to be installed or other settings that need to be changed specifically on RPi3?
kostaman: Not the case here, only one router being used.
blueribb: Changing the channel made no difference. I don't have another router to try out right now - will do so when I get a chance to borrow one. However I can hardly believe that this would change anything, since the wifi is definitely working.
Tried both with no different results.
The wired network is shown as connected and active as well, everything else remains the same - no connection to any repository.
Still not able to locate the problem. What bugs me is that the network status screen does not show the line "Internet: Connected" (which does show up on other devices with a working Kodi (as shown below). The bottom line shown in the following screen is plain missing on my RPi:
Unfortunately still no luck, tried manually changing to other DNS servers as well. This is really getting frustrating. It's the year 2018 and we're talking about using a WORKING wifi connection on a device that is proven to be CAPABLE of using the same connection.
Anyways, thanks for all your suggestions guys. Please keep them coming so we get a solution.
Deacticating/activating DHCP makes no difference.

Network is already set to dhcp and connects ("State: ready"). Also I am able to find the device in the network and use SSH as well as exchange files.
I only own the one RPi3. I have not tried OSMC, but other OS like Raspbian and Recalbox work just fine, so I presume it is an LE issue (or a setting issue, however I did not change any of the default values at the beginning).

It gets weirder. Other devices with Kodi work just fine with the same wifi settings. Only the RPi with LE doesn't. Raspbian also work without problems.
Wifi should be set to 2.4 GHz.
On the network tab in LE settings it says "Wireless Networks: Active=yes, 'tethered'=no" and "Wired NEtworks: Active=yes" (don't know how to take a screenshot).

I just "downgraded" to the latest official version 8.2.5. - same error as before. Here's the new log:
Official LE is not really an option, since I wand to use addons like Amazon Video and Netflix, and Milhouse builds seem to be the only way to do this (or are they?)...
My router is set to use static IP for this device. Is this what you mean?
Wifi is set to channel 1.
Log pasted here:
Concerning the directory called "like wifi_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" - I wasn't able to find the folder /storage/.cache/connman/ - how do I access the command console / terminal in Libreelec?
output of ifconfig -a

Same result - boots just fine, but no internet connection. Weird thing is that other OS do have internet with the same wifi settings...
Hi there,
I am new to Libreelec and installed it via Noobs on an RPi3. It states to be connected to wifi and I am able to exchange files with my pc.
However no internet access is possible whatsoever. All other devices in the wifi are able to (even the RPi3 when booting Raspbian), but Kodi isn't. Even the preinstalled addons don't work. I left all other settings on default.
Any ideas?
