another piece of data. I went to my Macbook using Kodi 17.6 and the TVHeadend client and was able to play recordings I had setup on the TVH server on Libreelec 8.95.003. It's the TVH client on libreelec itself that's the problem. I used the same login info that I use on the web admin login.

I've done this before without issues, but today with the latest I'm having access problems between the HTSP client and the TVH PVR.
The TVHeadend server install went perfectly. I used the wizard and it found my HDHR and populated all my muxs, services and EPG Schedule Guide.
However when I went back Kodi to setup the client, I could not get it to connect to the server. I keep getting access denied. I used the same login and password as I used when configuring the web admin login for the web access to setup TVH. I've never had this issue before. I went back and set all the allowed permissions. No help.
I even created a new user and that didn't work either.
I'm at a loss.

not sure this is the place for 8.90.007 feedback and questions. I can't use the alpha as it exist now. .006 did work with the navigation arrow keys. And of course 8.2.5 it works.
If anyone wants any debug information I can put the microSD back in and run a test. LMK.

I just installed the latest 8.90.7 Alpha on a RP3 b+ and at first I saw no issues. I set my Region, installed PVR-Mythtv and started watching a pre-recorded program. But I quickly noticed that the arrows that you use for Skipping forward and backward are not working at all. Up, Down, Right, and Left have no affect on the playback. Normally, you never have to setup the arrows. The arrows don't work on the keyboard or remote.

Thanks, I thought I had the latest. Obviously, I didn't. 8.90.006 solved my issue.

I decided to play around with 8.90.005 so I installed it and my first task is to install Mythtv PVR client. The system has 5.8.7.2. Install failed due to kodi.binary.instance.pvr needing version 5.1 or some message I can't complete read because it's scrolls off quickly.
I'm running this PVR client on the production version of LibreELEC without issues. Something is missing in the Alpha of 8.90
Ideas?

Before I read your reply, I checked my other RP3 on a old Sony HD TV and it didn't have the problem. So since both RP3's are identical, I went back to the Samsung TV setting. Somehow on the input for the RP3, the picture settings had a setting that was grayed out but you could select it. The 'fit-to-screen' setting was 'auto', I changed it to 'on' and problem solved. So for now, I'll not change the config.txt setting you mentioned.
Thanks,

When I first installed LibreELEC and PVR-mythtv plugin it worked perfectly. Today I noticed that the TV was chopping off a little on both sides and top/bottom.
So I was missing channel numbers on the TV Guide and some of the options were partially lost on setup. My TV Picture settings have not been modified. Just set for Standard or Normal depending on the subject matter I'm watching.
I have the RP3 B+ plugged into the Denon A/V receiver and the receiver is plugged into the TV.
The TV is a Samsung Smart TV Model UN58MU6070.
I have rebooted the RP3 with not change. I do have an Intel NUC on another HDMI input and It's running Xubuntu 18.04 and it completely fills the screen without missing pixels.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks, I'll explore more.

I have tested LibreELEC on a RP3 B+ for several weeks and it works perfectly as a frontend to my MythTV backend PVR.
There are times when I think it would be useful to have access to other apps on the RP3 so I've tested Raspbian with Kodi as an app. It works okay, except for the fringe cases like switching HDMI inputs away from the RP3 and then back later. It doesn't always return to the Kodi display.
If I give up the need to have other apps beside Kodi, then LibreELEC is perfect. I'm just wondering if others have noticed issues with Kodi on Raspbian not seen on Kodi on LibreELEC?

Thanks, it's always in the last place you look.
Got it working.

I have a new RP3 B+ with LibreELEC 8.2.5. Basically the latest you get from the download website. It comes up as expected and when I added the PVR addon from mythtv, it works fine displaying my recordings from my backend server.
However, I have a remote (Logictech Harmony Smart Control) that uses bluetooth and connects to the RP3+ as a keyboard.
I've looked at the settings for LE and Services and I only find under LE->Bluetooth the words "Bluethooth is disabled"
Is there a way to enable it?
BTW I can do all of this on a Raspbian OS with Kodi installed just fine, but wanted to make like simpler.
